If You Ever Hunger, Hunger For Me

Summary:

When Y/N showed up to Akademi High, she didn't expect to see both an old friend and a new enemy in the same day. Osoro didn't expect her heart to near explode when Y/N showed, and neither of them ever expected this to go as far as it did. All Y/N wants is to see Osoro happy, and all Osoro wants is for Y/N to stay out of her way. But is it really because of the day she humiliated her, or is the resentment from something much, much deeper that that? Or...is it even resentment at all?

Chapter 1: A Day To Remember

Notes:

Hello again! I'm back with an actual Osoro x Reader, (I'm sorry for genderbending her forgive me lesbians)

I think I really cooked with this one idk. I got a kinda-job thing recently, so my back's been killing me ever since. I'll try to get the chapters finished, but by the time I post this they'll probably all be done. I try to do them all before I post, but accidents happen:(

I hope you like this as much as I do. And, no playlist this time.

Enjoy!~

Chapter Text

It really sucks, pretending to be something you're not.

Especially since you've been doing it since middle school. Was it bullies, or the simple human need to fit in that made you change that year? The year that everything changed for you. For once, you were popular. Many friends, a lot of guys crushing on you, and to top it all off, you were part of the student council. All at the cost of a friendship. Now, normally this wouldn't bother you. After all, you lost friends nearly every week; being in high school only made the drama worse. Still, it left you crying into your pillow, eyes red and unable to sleep. And tonight was one of those nights.

You lay there, clutching a stuffed animal for dear life. You had checked the roster for students, she'd be there. Osoro, your childhood best friend. The thought of seeing her again both overjoyed and terrified you. Surely she wouldn't want to see you, and even if she did it would never be the same. You rolled over, staring at your blurry clock. 4 AM, and you hadn't gotten a wink of sleep. At that rate, you probably wouldn't. Pulling the covers over your head, you shut your eyes in hopes of falling asleep. If you were lucky, you'd wake up somewhat happy and go on with your day. If not, you'd power through it as best you could.

Your hair whipped your face in the wind, sticking to your lipgloss.

It had been so long since you were last there, Sakura Middle.

As if nothing had changed, Osoro leaned back on a wall under the bleachers, holding a cup of punch and smiling.

Her lips were moving, but it came out in a muffled nothing and you gave up on trying to understand her.

She frowned, rocking on her heels.

You couldn't handle this.

Seeing her, even if she was happy.

It didn't matter.

Even a picture of that girl could send you spiraling.

Turning away, she muttered something you could understand, clear as day.

"I miss you."

You were torn from your dreams the minute your alarm clock began playing the radio at full volume. You scrambled out of bed, to your dresser. It was still dirty as ever, makeup and clothes strewn across it. You reached for a knob before you remembered; now you had uniforms. God, you could be such a klutz when you weren't thinking.

It took a while, but you managed to squeeze into your tights and skirt and find your shoes in time to leave. The sun was just beginning to rise, pinkish-yellow rays peeking out from behind the night-time clouds. Your parents were still sleeping soundly in their bed, paying no mind to you. It had been a long time since either of them had walked you out to your bus. Speaking of buses, you did miss those yellow buses. Now you just took a normal bus, with a normal bus pass, with non-student passengers. You walked through the aisles, taking your seat in the back. You hadn't even noticed that you accidentally sat yourself by someone, and with a quick move, you were alone again. You smiled, but they didn't smile back. Rude, you thought, didn't anyone have some manners in this town?

Nonetheless, you sat there, gazing out the window for your stop. The pink trees blended into one another, the blended grey of concrete buildings making themselves look like one mega-complex, and the blurry faces all looked the same. Sure, you'd pick up on any messy blonde hair, but other than that you really couldn't find specific features on anyone. The bus came to a screeching stop at the school, one of the many it stopped by. But this one was most definitely yours. You stepped off, waving "goodbye" to the driver as he sped off. The moment you stepped foot on that path, it was almost like you could feel her energy from there. Your mind dwelled on the "Miss you" dream-her threw out the night before. It played the moment on repeat, as if it was the only part you needed to remember. You pulled the class paper from your bag, looking for your class. 1-1, 1-2... Your eyes settled on the red-circled 1-2, walking through the halls in hopes of spotting it. You slung your bag over a chair before once again wandering the halls.

She was there. She was there in your class and you'd been doing nothing but staring at the back of her head for the past few hours. Schoolwork, incomplete. Pen, fell off your desk and was currently sitting by your feet. She hadn't seemed to notice, focusing on the board ahead. Entranced, you barely noticed the bell ring, and everyone leave. You nearly fell out of your seat, grabbing your bento out of your bag and walking out to eat. You hadn't seen a lot of the campus, but from what you had seen you had a place in mind to eat. For some reason, there was a radio by the incinerator, and when you looked nobody was there, so it had to be open territory, right? You made your way over, already opening your bento.

"Hey, watch it!" A boy barked, shoving you away- and sending you falling to the ground. When you got up, you noticed two things;

A) A horrified group of boys

B) An angry girl, which you immediately recognized as Osoro

Food splattered across her uniform, she looked like she was about to explode. You'd just embarrassed her in front of these boys, it seemed. One stifled a giggle, but another hit him on the head before he could actually laugh. After all, who would want to get a girl like that angry? Of course, you were already done for, apologizing profusely. Her anger only seemed to intensify when she saw your face, her eyes narrowing to make sure it was really you. She stayed silent, except for a;

"Watch where you're going."

As you ran away, you felt eyes on you. More than that group, more than a couple witnessing students. Like all eyes were really on you. And looking around, they were. Girls whispered. A group of boys just stared. You felt like a science experiment. The new girl, already screwing it up? It wasn't even your first day and you already made a name for yourself. Good job, Y/N. You kept your head down as you walked through the halls, a wave of realization washing out the embarrassment. You couldn't remember everything about her, but you could definitely recall how strong she was. The way she could punch, the way she could carry things you thought were extremely heavy, the way she was able to carry you when you hurt yourself that time in gym-

You stopped yourself before you could get too deep into reminiscing. The past is over, you reminded yourself, there's nothing I can do about it. Still, your mind couldn't help but flash glimpses of your memories with her, as if teasing you. You really were going insane if you couldn't get your own mind to be on the same page with you. You walked to the bathroom in hopes of clearing your mind, but unfortunately;

She was there. Standing there, rinsing off her soiled uniform so casually. You wondered if she remembered all the things you used to do together, the things you used to do to eachother-

She glanced over, her lips curling into a frown at the sight of you.

"I-I'm sorry," was all you could manage to get out.

"You'd better be."

You didn't say anything more, instead walking into a stall and sitting on the floor. Unsanitary, maybe, but it would have to do. Because at the end of the day, does anything really change if it gets dirty?

Osoro's POV

I stayed in that bathroom for a while before I went back to class.

I stuffed my dirty uniform in a plastic bag from the counselor, and went on my way. Of course, I was late to class, but so was Y/N. She got the same spiel I did about responsibility or whatever. As much as I hated to admit it, I did miss her. Bad.

I spent nights awake, just thinking of her. Her laugh, her eyes, her boobs-

But I'd never tell her. To some extent, I hated her guts. Who wouldn't? She was mean, shallow, and worst of all, she was fake. She'd basically left me at the mercy of bullies the moment she had the chance. No matter how tempting, I couldn't bring myself to talk to her. I shouldn't, and I wouldn't. I was smarter than that.

Y/N's POV

School was out before you knew it, and you were already heading for the bus.

If you missed it you'd probably explode. Luckily, you made it as soon as they began to pull off (damn rush to leave, you could never get out on time because of the crowds of students)

Your dad was there to walk you to the house when you came home, which was new.

"How was your first day?" He asked, but he knew it would be bad as usual.

You sighed, "It was alright," and sped off to your house.

The minute you were inside, you rushed to flop down on your bed. Pillows were strewn across your floor, and blankets were bunched up in a messy pile on your mattress, but you just pulled one over your head and sulked. Today was so embarrassing, you hardly believed it happened. If not for you being there, you probably wouldn't've thought it happened at all. Your mind replayed the moment over and over, shaming you for your own mistakes. You'd definitely lost it. Come on Y/N, think rationally! Even if she hates you, she's not going to beat you up tommorow or anything. Geez girl, get a grip!

You took a deep breath, accidentally inhaling a tear or two and cringing at the taste. But it didn't matter. For now, you had much bigger things to worry about.
