<[(SECTION ONE ~ I WANNA BE THE NEW ROUTINE)]>
Terra woke up to the same noises as usual, fighting. The constant bickering between his moon and sun started to get annoying, to say the least. It wasn't any help that no one else helped to try and cease the bickering between Sol and Luna.<Minus Neo when she passed by, which she was rarely able to do, but still appreciated.> There was only so much Terra themselves could do, especially alone. Those two have been proving themselves to be quite the annoyance to him, and he needed to find a solution to it, as soon as he could. He'd usually just let them fight, but the constant noise had gotten bothersome. He had work to do, did he not? Thankfully, the fights were never physical.
On another note, Terra missed Neo. Sadly, they wouldn't see her for another week, at the least. Stars, he was being pathetic- he had just seen her three days ago.
Snapping back to reality as fighting grew louder, Terra pushed that thought to the farthest corner of his head, sitting up from his bed. He had better things to worry about. Lying on a side table, his watch was grabbed, along with a coat- both sloppily thrown on. Glancing at the watch- oh. Two AM. Oh. Well, that wasn't the best, but, he couldn't care less about his sleep at the moment. He walked down the stairs, walking into the attempt the three had made at a living room. Yep, there they were, Sol and Luna front and center, fighting once again. He didn't have the energy to mediate the two today, so he simply picked up Luna by her collar <An easy task, considering Terra's size compared to Luna.> and dragged them to their room, plopping them on the bed, despite their protests. He left within the second, closing the door behind him. Sol sighed at this, entering his room as well, sitting down on his bed, where Terra would pop his head in.
<"…What happened this time..?">
["…"]
No response. Great.
…Okay yeah, it'd be pointless to try and push. So nope, out the door. Hell noooo- Terra let out a sigh.
…
…Right, so how does one stop the fighting.
…
Gosh, this seemed, impossible? For lack of a better word? He took to pacing around the house, fiddling with his hands. After a bit of pacing, he stepped outside, the cold air hitting him. He glanced around the vast expanse of space. Nothing as usua-
That's odd..? As Terra was gazing around, he spotted a light- one that had never been there before, and it wasn't usual for lights to just randomly appear. It didn't seem that far away, compared to the other stars. He wanted to see it, but wasn't he supposed to think about a way to stop the fighting? …Well, that could wait. Surely they wouldn't mind if he left for a bit, right..? Yeah.
{EXCERPT ONE ~ LIFE IS A BITTERSWEET HARMONY}
And oh, oh no, why the fuck was he glowing? No- no, that's not normal, what. Ugh, this was supposed to be a normal day, not- this..? Whatever "this" was, at least. Nothing had changed, as far as he could tell. Besides the glowing, he was perfectly fine..? …Well, this was… nothing short of concerning.
Besides that, man, his head was pounding. As usual of course. He leant back, letting out a sigh. At least it was calm here, something always enjoyable. Staring off into the quiet endless vicinity of space, nothing was expected to be seen, as usua-
…
What. Is. That.
<{SECTION TWO ~ I SAY GOODBYE TO A BLACKBIRD {IT'S QUIET UPTOWN}}>
Terra neared the star. The star leaned forward, standing up. It looked confused, reasonably so- Nothing had come around here in a while. The star looked up at the earth, who looked curious on the glowing star in front of them.
{"…"}
<"Hello there.">
{"Hi."}
<"My name's Terra, what's yours, bud?"}
Oh. Names. Right, those did exist. What was the star's name again..? Oh, right.
{"…I'm…Proximia Centauri."}
<"Uh. Nice.">
The star just blinked. An awkward silence held between the two. The earth fiddled with their hands.
<"…so…uh. Whatcha doing out here?">
{"I live here."}
Oh. So, that wasn't the best thing to say probably.
<"Is anyone else here?">
{"…just me."}
The star didn't look too proud about that fact, as his eyes darted downwards. Terra noticed, tilting his head at the action.
<"You don't like being alone, I'm guessing?">
{"…It's fine, just gets… lonely."}
<"Ah.">
They shifted on their feet, seeming nervous. The earth stood there and thought. Maybe an exchange could be made. The person standing in front of them clearly needed a place where people were present, and as a turn, he could help with the fighting, couldn't he?
<"I have a place you can stay, if you'd like. I have two younger siblings, they'd love to meet you. A bit chaotic they are, but sweet, really.">
The star seemed to light up more, if that was even possible.
{"…really? I- that seems nice. I- I'd like that."}
The Earth smiled a little, extending a hand, and a glowing one accepted it.
<"C'mon.">
