Summary
Joyce is a happy woman, now that she knows her son Jonathan has new friends at school. Specifically this boy, Steve, so charismatic and warm. Ever since he met him, he spent his time hanging out with him, and every afternoon—when the sun went down—they would come back home to play video games and do boy things.
Sometimes they would lock themselves in Jon's room for hours and then go out to eat dinner with the whole family.
Steve was, to Joyce, practically another son. And she loved it.
