Favorite Bench

Summary:

Damian sat down because it was his favorite bench. It had nothing to do with the fact that Anya was already sitting there.

Work Text:

Damian's eyes remain fixed on the pink-haired girl, who is sitting on a bench appearing to doze off. The wind sways her hair and the sun shines on Anya.

That image seems to make his internal organs succumb. Multiple unpleasant symptoms begin to generate from his body.

It irritated him greatly. Because of course for the boy, everything about her is irritating and very annoying.

And now it was more, because she was using his favorite bench... That was it!

So he headed over there.

"It's not that I want to sit with you, dummy," he had to make it clear to her. "There's no more room and this is my favorite bench."

As he said that, he sat down as if it were no big deal, took out a book and...

He immediately turned his neck as he felt a weight on his shoulder, his face turned red, obviously from the rage because a commoner had gotten too close and was touching him.

"But what do you think you're doing?" he said in a haughty tone, but the girl didn't hear him. And he, despite the invasion of personal space, did not move away.

Instead, he observed her, she still had her eyes closed and her lips slightly parted.

So pretty.

When that thought flowed. He immediately claimed it was the flowers, caused by that annoying, evil and dishonest part of his mind.

The one that said she was a heavy nuisance on his shoulder, but did nothing to remove her.

The one that said he would only stay until he finished reading the book, but it was upside down.

The one that said he would only leave her on his shoulder for five minutes, but much more time had already passed.

The one that said he hoped she would wake up already, but did nothing to make it happen.

The one that said it was his favorite bench and that's why he wasn't leaving.

And the more he saw her sleeping by his side, the more he repeated to himself that it was his favorite bench... at least from today onwards.
