Chapter Text
Gingerbrave and his friends are exploring the continent of beast yeast along with Pure Vanilla Cookie, the ancient hero who's searching for Dark Enchantress Cookie's plan in the war. Their airship crashed, forcing them to land quite roughly and start their expedition inside the unfamiliar place. They walk around the place and they notice that is full of spores, apparently named "yeast spores", at least that's what Carameleon Cookie said when they found him.
"haha! you really don't know what your messing with here! at least you have me, your helpful guide" Carameleon Cookie says while laying on Gingerbrave's head
"Yeah yeah, if you know that much about the place, do you know anything about Dark Enchantress Cookie?" Wizard Cookie asks annoyed
"The who?"
"..."
Wizard Cookie sighs and thinks "this will be a long trip..."
Pure Vanilla Cookie laughs "Calm down everyone, this friend here lives around beast yeast, so he knows more than us, let's trust him in this shall we?"
"where did he go?" Gingerbrave asks curiously looking up, Carameleon being nowhere to be found
"greeeat, the so called 'helpful guide' ditched us" Wizard Cookie says sarcastically "now where do we go?"
They keep walking around, being careful about the toxic spores. Beast Yeast, even thought is known to be a very dangerous place, seems full of life; The flora and fauna are dangerous but beautiful, giving the continent a good look.
As they walk even more yeat spores appear, the group hears something, a sudden voice
"who's there?! what is your business here?!
A cookie with wings points his bow at them, he seems to be a fairy with a short cut resembling the beautiful but deadly lily of the valley, he has a cape and his bow is adorned by bells.
"We come in peace! we're friends, not bad cookies!" Gingerbrave says cheerfully "we're just here to-"
"silence! no one would come to the faerie kingdom with no ill intentions!" The fairy exclaims, clearly not giving up without a fight
"oh jeez..." Strawberry says softly "... I didn't want to start fighting this soon..."
The team stands defensively until Pure Vanilla steps up, raising his hand in a sign of peace "Dear friend, we're just visitors, we're not foes" his calm and reassuring voice somehow makes the fairy back up and lower his bow, althought he is still cautious.
"I'll trust you, but don't think I'll take my eyes off you!" He says as his gaze softened, replaced with a curious expression "I didn't expect to see visitors here... is a very dangerous zone here outside the kingdom"
"which kingdom are you talking about?" Gingerbrave asks with sparkling eyes, surprised of the existence of another kingdom outside crispia "I thought this place would be less habitated"
"the faerie kingdom! but how can I trust you all? I won't let any outsider enter unless they prove they have good intentions!"
"maybe shows us your ruler? I believe this all can be sorted out" Pure Vanilla says gently
"... alright, I'll take you to him" he says "The name is Silverbell Cookie, proud knight of the faerie kingdom, follow me"
They all follow Silverbell Cookie to the kingdom, the fairy keeping an eye on them at all times
A while has passed after the events of the faerie kingdom, the team found White Lily Cookie and woke her up, now they're moving to the next stop, until...
"huh... Wizard Cookie?" Strawberry Cookie says with a shaky voice "I think we're lost"
"we're not lost! we're just... taking another route, that's it!"
"okay... whatever you say" she says
Strawberry Cookie and Wizard Cookie ended up being separated from the others, now they're walking disoriented not knowing where to go. Wizard Cookie is as scared as Strawberry Cookie is but he doesn't want to show it because of his pride
"Wizard Cookie..."
"We're NOT lost!" After some more time roaming around in circles, he finally sighs in defeat "okay, we're lost"
Strawberry Cookie pats his back "Well... at least we're together, it would be way scarier being alone"
"You got a point there"
They sit down, tired of walking all the way. Wizard Cookie looks around trying to familiarize with their surroundings, Strawberry Cookie grabs her phone and tries to communicate
"Still no signal..." She sighs "Should we wait here until they find us?"
"I don't know about that, beast yeast is pretty big; Gingerbrave, White Lily and Pure Vanilla are probably far away by now"
"wait... what is that?" Strawberry Cookie taps Wizard Cookie's shoulder to have his attention and she points at the grass which in a certain point it starts changing colors
"we might get even more lost but... I'm curious about following that trail" Wizard Cookie approaches to inspectionate "Strange, looking at it makes me feel... calm"
Strawberry Cookie also approaches and confirms it, everytime she looks at it her breathing slows down and she gets a feeling of calmness. The sensation grows stronger and they both start walking towards it, submerging into the calming atmosphere.
