Summary
After rescuing Argenti from by far the most disgusting creature he'd ever laid eyes on, Boothill brings him back to the One and Only. But something is wrong—Argenti is distant, shaken in a way Boothill has never seen. Though the two have grown close in a short time, bound by mutual care and quiet affection, Boothill can feel that something vital has shifted inside Argenti.
While Boothill struggles with the decision of whether to press him or give him space, Argenti retreats to the bathroom, gripped by nausea and a deep, gnawing fear. Argenti is overwhelmed by deep-rooted self-loathing, unable to see himself as worthy of the ideals he swore to uphold.
Struggling with feelings of being defiled and unlovable, he wonders if Boothill will still love what’s left.
