Summary
“Aegon,” she breathed, marching straight for him. “What happened? Your eye…” She leaned down close to look at it, hissing in sympathy. Her hand hovered just over his cheekbone, close enough that he caught a whiff of her perfume. She studied the rest of his face before tugging him to his feet. “Come on, let’s get to the car. We’ll talk inside.”
Aegon didn’t feel much like talking, but nevertheless followed behind her, trying his best not to look like a dog chasing her feet. If his tail was wagging because his big sister picked him up from school, then that was his business.
