a smile
a laugh
a thought and hug
what a simple
yet revolutionary thing
the shared burden
the weight eased
the whispered encouragement
quiet, yet loud
an ear that listens
a heart that hears
I face into the unknown
and yet all around me
a support network thrums
humming, alive
telling me to lean in
and it will catch me
hold me
wrap around me
I have the peace of security in the face of the unknown
not in guarantee of any outcome
but rather the knowledge that whatever the outcome
It will all be ok
