“I’m mad at you,” he points a shaking finger towards the ocean, “I’m fucking furious at you. I’ve spent years coming here. I’ve poured every thought I have ever had into you, into this space. I’ve woven myself into the fucking fabric of this place. And now, now I’m terrified to be here. I’m terrified of sitting here, of being this close to a threat. I’m so afraid all the time now.”

A natural disaster happened, and Buck just happens to be unlucky enough that he was caught in it. But any sense went out the window. He needed things to blame, he needed this to be anyone’s fault but his own. For once, he needed the blame to land elsewhere. So, like someone who has truly lost it, he is yelling at a body of water.
