Chapter Text
The terms of being a character in a story has its own consequences and not all of them are end up in a happily ever after ending. No, instead they lost someone important. An eternity. Like Alex Forbes and Nigel Colbie.
They're kind of inseparable, even if they are friends AND enemies at the same time. But in eyes of people, they all like to pair Alex and Nigel as romantically partners. Crazy, ain't it?
But what if I tell you that there's another universe about them? A universe where they meet their actors now? I know this may seem absurd but it's not. If I erase their memories, will they try and regain their memories and solve the puzzle like their past lives?
If they do, I have no choice but to separate them once more. This is a story about the MurderHusbands meeting their actors and trying to solve the puzzle in order to unlock each of their shared memories. Let the trial begin.
Eddie sat on his desk, memorizing and highlighting his script verse for the upcoming new movie he agreed to act on. His laptop's open and it's nearly midnight.
Without him noticing, his wife just so happens to enter his study room. She's worried about him staying up late.
Being the wife and handling her duties, she spoke up: “Still up, darling? Why don't you go to sleep? It's kinda late."
What a dumb question, she thought. Eddie flinched just a little before turning his head to look over his wife.
“Hannah! Oh my God, please don't ever scare me like that...” he let out a shaky sigh. He ducked his head a little before looking at Hannah giggling. His face softened after seeing his beautiful wife giggling over him being scared.
He closed his book script and laptop before leaving his desk to hug his wife. “I'm not tired yet, Han. But I'm pretty sure I'll go to bed after memorizing this verse.” he said, kissing Hannah's forehead. “I love you, go back to sleep.”
Eddie turned around to sit on his desk once again but little did he know, his wife isn't satisfied. “Eddie, what did I say about staying up late? This applies to our children too.”
“I know. I'm not a baby.”
“Told you so.”
Hannah gave Eddie a cheeky smug. As soon as she approaches her husband to scare him once again, she felt a scorching summer breeze when suddenly... a boy fell out from their ceiling but fortunately also, there were no cracks, just the boy's thuds.
Both of the spouses squealed (in order not to wake their children up) and Hannah was the one who reacted first by throwing a book to the boy's back.
“Ow! Freakin' hell!?” the boy mumbled.
Just by the voice, Eddie knew what this was. He reached out for the nearest object and threw it right on the boy's head, causing the boy to pass out face on the floor.
“What was that for!?” But Eddie kissed her on the lips to shut her up before searching on his desk drawer.
“Where is it...” he mumbled. Then, he felt something. A letter. That's it. He grabbed it and ripped the envelope apart, reaching for the letter in it.
Dear Eddie Redmayne,
I don't know if this letter will arrive at your house but I'm going to tell you something that you may think it's absurd. So here's the thing:
On the very next week, Friday night on your study room, one of your characters.. ‘Alex Forbes’ from your movie that you filmed with Tom Sturridge 19 years ago will magically appear on your study room!!!
(yes, along with Nigel Colbie also..but I'll take care of that..)
Again, it may seem absurd but it isn't. Okay, bye!!! :D
From your dearest and also biggest fan,
Hermes ;)
“Ed? What's the matter?”
Eddie stared at the letter for 30 minutes, almost an hour. He then muttered: “Freakin' absurd.”
He turned to look at his wife. “It's one of my characters.”
“The recent ones? Like..the Jackal or whatever his name is?”
“No..from 19 years ago, back when I was 24 years old..”
Hannah gasped but is still smiling. “It is..???”
“Yes.”
He sighed, looking at Alex that passed out on the floor. How is he going to explain this to his children the next morning..? Sigh, he doesn't know.
“You know what, Hannah? I'll take care of him. Let's drag him to the guest room and go back to sleep.” says he.
