Laying in bed felt like heaven after a long, rainy, cold day..as it was very warm in the house. The blankets were cloud soft, feeling as if I were being wrapped in angel wings. My room was dimly lit and cozy. It wasn't very big, yet not too cramped, it was a pretty okay size. I was reading comfortably under the blankets until I heard a soft noise.
It was loud enough to hear, but soft enough to not disturb much. It was a whine. I sat up and wondered what it could be, until I heard soft footsteps creep across the floor, as I then heard a gentle knock on the door. It was Silver …he was tearing up a little bit and stood there with the biggest, golden puppy eyes. He was rubbing his eyes and sniffiling a little.
“Awwww, what's wrong?”
I ask in a soft, pouty, but motherly tone.
“I-II cc-can’t ss-leep”
he responded ever so shyly and gently.
“Awwwe, does Mama's baby wanna sleep with her?”
I gently cup it little, soft, rosey cheeks as he nods suttblely. I open my door wider and let him in my room. I pick him up and sit him down on my bed, as he is very light. I press sweet, loving, warm kisses on his cheek and trail down to his neck and shoulder. I gently massage his chest fur with one hand and hold his hand with the other. I stroke the back of his hand with my thumb to calm him down. I press on last gentle kiss on his tummy before I nuzzle his little nose and give a light hearted chuckle. He smiles a little bit and I caress his cheek gently and give him a sweet smile back.
“All better now?”
he nods and smiles, blush creeping across his gentle cheeks, as I kiss his forehead once. I climb back on my bed, pull the covers back, and pull him towards me. He lays down beside me, and I stroke his head softly.
“My baby”
I quietly say as he gives a light giggle and blushes soft. I cradle him in my arms tightly yet still carefully, as my fingers trace the back of his quills.
“I love you my precious boy”
“I love you, too, mama”
he replies gently. Under the heat of the blankets and the warmth of my arms, we quietly drift off to sleep.
