“Hey, hey, hey, hey! Don’t lick the—”
Kazuichi shoves his face into his hands and doesn’t even peep through his fingers. He’d always thought a girl with a long tongue would be really cool, but the more time he spends with Genocide Jack Jill, the more he’s convinced that maybe it’s not nearly as cool as he thought it would be. (Or maybe it would still be cool if it was another girl, but—)
Jill laughs in that high-pitched maniacal voice of hers, and Kazuichi shudders.
“Look, man, I told you I’d make him for you, but you don’t have to—”
“I have to taste him! And he tastes wrong!”
Kazuichi looks at the Byakuya robot he’s been creating. It’s not quite done – and he’d told her it wouldn’t be perfect (he’s not an AI mastermind the way that Chihiro is) – but it’s coming along pretty nicely, in his opinion. “You have to…to taste him?” he asks, finally looking through his fingers and finding that however Jill was taste-testing his robot, she was quite done.
That doesn’t make him relax.
“Yep!” Jill props her hands on her hips and grins at him, her lips stretched so wide they could split open. “I want to bite all over my—”
“I don’t wanna hear that!” Kazuichi covers his ears with his hands. It doesn’t do much good, but he can at least pretend he didn’t hear any of it. (Just like he’s not going to ask how Jill already knows what Byakuya tastes like to know that the robot doesn’t taste right. Even the thought makes him shudder.) He stares at the robot. “Does he at least look good?”
Jill turns to the robot, her grin somehow – impossibly – widening. “I could eat him up—”
Kazuichi digs his fingers into his ears. That makes it better. He can’t hear anything. Then he closes his eyes for good measure.
You know, just in case.
