Summary:

Finale fix-it. After Oliver's sacrifice, his friends and family come together to say goodbye, but when old enemies return with a vengeance, members of Team Arrow; past, present, and future, come together for one last time in a final battle to not just save one of their own, but as well as preserve Oliver's memory to ensure that his sacrifice will not be in vain.

Notes:

This was originally supposed to be released about almost a month ago, in honor of the five year anniversary of Arrow's series finale, as well as redoing some things that can be a bit better. a one shot, but after thoughtful reconsideration, it will be a few chapters long. More will be detailed in the A/N, but for now, let's get to this story.

Warning: The following is not for John Diggle or Dinah Drake Fans. If any of you come complaining to me about that, you will be ignored like a bratty child who tries to cause a scene at their sibling's birthday party by trying to blow out the candles on their birthday cake.

With that being said, let's get to it.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

As a fisherman boat sailed away from the island of Lian Yu in the North China Sea, Oliver Queen looked on with a hateful glare.

"My name is Oliver Queen."

Lian Yu - NamuWiki

Oliver emerges from the ocean in the North China Sea, having swam up and avoiding drowning after his boat, the Queen's Gambit, sank.

In the Amazo ship, Slade Wilson, injected with Mirakuru, punches Oliver right in the face, making him fall to the flooded floor, nearly colliding with Slade's orange and black mask.

On Lian Yu, Anthony Ivo, the man who came to the island in search of Mirakuru, and thus the owner of the ship Amazo, fires his gun at Shado, much to both Oliver's and Sara's horror and anguish.

In a tent on Lian Yu, Oliver screamed in pain while held captive as a blade sliced through his torso by a mercenary, Billy Wintergreen.

"For five years, I was stranded on a hellish island, with only one thought and one goal... survive. After I returned home, I had a new goal, to fulfill my father's dying wish and save my city. And for eight years, I've done everything I could to make this possible and honor my father. I've taken down corrupt businessmen and politicians that made my city into a hellhole..."

Oliver, in his first uniform, takes on armed men on a rooftop.

"I've defeated businessmen who became assassins..."

The Hood battles the Dark Archer, Malcolm Merlyn, on the rooftop of Merlyn Global Group.

"Super soldier mercenaries and an army of super-soldiers..."

Oliver, now known as The Arrow, leads Roy Harper, Nyssa Al Ghul, Sara Lance, and members of the League of Assassins against Mirakuru soldiers in the tunnel, and he then battles Slade, now the mercenary Deathstroke, on the top of an abandoned factory.

"And took on organizations with assassins."

Oliver fights members of the League of Assassins, and then battles against Ra's Al Ghul in a swordfight.

"But that didn't stop there, I also fought against metahumans..."

As an undercover member of the League of Assassins known as Al-Sah-Him, Oliver fights the Reverse Flash.

"Evil magicians..."

Oliver, as the Green Arrow, holds Damien Darhk by his collar before impaling him with his arrow, killing him.

"Immortal beings..."

Oliver, along with his team, the Flash, and Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall, the reincarnated 'lovers' of both Egyptian Priestess Chay-Ara and Prince Khufu, and the latest reincarnations of Hawkman and Hawkgirl, stand against Vandal Savage.

"Serial killers..."

Oliver fights the mysterious Prometheus, the Throwing Star Killer of Star City, in an abandoned building.

"Aliens..."

Oliver battles a Dominator on a rooftop, along with fellow heroes.

"Invaders of alternate universes..."

Oliver, along with the Flash, White Canary, Supergirl, Alex Danvers, and the other heroes, fight the Nazi soldiers of Earth-X, and Oliver then battles his Earth-X doppelganger, who is the leader of the Nazis in their reality.

"...and cosmic beings."

Oliver, now the Spectre, battles the Anti-Monitor at the Dawn of Time.

Arrowverse: 10 Questions About The Anti-Monitor's Powers, Answered

"In every way unimaginable, I began an age of heroes, and I fought beside brave men and women, friends, family, and allies, striving for justice."

The Green Arrow, along with the Flash, Supergirl, and White Canary, leads his superhero allies into battle, standing tall against their adversaries.

"I even became Mayor of Star City."

Olive places his left hand on the Bible, as he lifts his right one, and then recites the oath.

"But then, the Crisis came, and I had to become someone else. I had to become... something else."

The Spectre unleashes a surge of energy from eyes, up into the sky as he defeated the Anti-Monitor.

"I made the ultimate sacrifice which helped birth not just an entirely new universe, but also a new Multiverse to replace the one it had fallen."

A dying Oliver sheds a tear as he views the birth of a new universe, before closing his eyes, succumbing to his injuries. Both Barry and Sara cry as they comforted each other, grieving for their friend.

"Now my friends and family will have to go on without me, and although I have become a Spectre, there is a part of me that will always be... the Green Arrow!"

Starling City, April, 2014

"Both my children will live." Moira Queen said as she stood up to her feet. She and her children were kidnapped and held by Slade Wilson, cuffed in zip-ties as he tried to force Oliver in making a choice; either save Thea and let Moira die, or save Thea and let Moira die instead, hauntingly similar to how Ivo had forced Oliver to choose either Sara or Shado back five years ago. Moira, however, made the choice instead for her son, rising herself up to her feet as she turned around and faced Slade.

"Mom? What are you doing?!" Thea cried out.

"Thea, I love you!" Moira tearfully declared to her daughter, as Slade pointed his handgun toward her head. "Close your eyes, baby!" She pleaded to Thea, not wanting her youngest to see her death.

"NO!" Oliver yelled in despair.

"You possess true courage, Moira." Slade said in acknowledgement, putting his handgun away back in his coat. "I'm truly sorry..."

However, Oliver, not wanting to feel helpless at this moment, discreetly pulled out a pocket knife and started to cut the zip-tie to free himself.

"...You did not pass that on to your son." Slade finished as he pulled out his sword, and spun back to face Moira and attempted to kill her by impaling the sword into her chest.

Just in the nick of time, Oliver cut himself free of the zip-tie and charged at Slade, tackling him to the ground on the leaves, making him drop his sword as Moira and Thea stared on, both stunned and shocked.

Oliver decked Slade in the face, dazing him as he then pulled out Slade's handgun, and started striking him across his face with it.

Iron Heights Penitentiary , 2016

At Iron Heights Penitentiary, Green Arrow, along with Laurel Lance, the Black Canary, Speedy, and Spartan, battled the inmates there, along with Damien Darhk, the leader of the organization H.I.V.E. Along with Darhk were Malcolm Merlyn, and Andy Diggle, John's brother who was previously thought to be murdered by Deadshot, but was now revealed to be alive and working undercover as an agent to H.I.V.E., and a traitor to John, having given Darhk the last piece of the Khushu Idol.

Once putting the Idol back together, Andy killed two of the Iron Height inmates in order for Damien's magical powers to increase. He froze Team Arrow in place with his powers as Merlyn ordered for them to leave, but Darhk retorted for them to wait as he flung Speedy and Spartan aside, while holding Green Arrow and Black Canary with his magic as he turned to face the latter.

"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. Ms. Lance, nine months ago, I made your daddy a promise. I told him what I would do if he betrayed me." Darhk began menacingly.

Green Arrow broke free of Darhk's hold on him, and fired an arrow at him, which the madman caught easily with his hand. Darhk then held Green Arrow again with his magic as he held his arrow, slowly approaching Black Canary. "I want you to give your father a message. I want you to give your father a message from me. I want you to tell him-"

Suddenly, a sonic scream pierced the prison corridor, with everyone wincing at the loud sound as Darhk was forced to drop the arrow and cover his ears in pain. Then, he was thrown and sent flying across the cafeteria, along with the Ghosts and both Andy and Malcolm.

Green Arrow and Black Canary turned to see Sara Lance, in her White Canary uniform and Dinah 'Lauren' Lance, Laurel's twin sister, in her Black Siren uniform, both outside the corridor. Black Siren then smirked as she said. "Looks like we arrived a bit late to the party, huh?"

"You're right on time." Black Canary responded, smiling.

"Let's finish this." White Canary said, twirling her both bo-staff as Speedy and Spartan got back up to their feet, as did Darhk, Malcolm, and Andy.

"Agreed." Green Arrow said.

With that, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Speedy, Spartan, White Canary, and Black Siren all charged at the villains. In the end, Green Arrow finally killed Damien Darhk with an arrow to the heart, and Spartan killed Andy as well, no longer seeing him as his long lost brother but a traitor. However, Malcolm escaped, to parts unknown.

Lian Yu, 2017

On a speedboat, Oliver had his bow and arrow aimed at Adrian Chase, Prometheus, who had his son William trapped in a headlock, in one final endgame to convince Oliver that everything around him, everything he touches, dies. But Oliver didn't care about any of that right now, all he cared for right now is his son's safety, but he had to make sure that he fired a nonlethal shot, because if Chase dies, then the island will explode, and everyone on it will die.

Oliver slowly lowered his bow, however he then let go of the arrow, and Chase was struck with an arrow in his ankle, right at his right leg, forcing him to let go of William as he dropped to the floor in pain.

Finally free, William rushed to Oliver as he then hugged him tightly. "William! Come here!" Oliver gently placed his hands on his son's head, wanting to be sure that he was alright as he asked. "Hey! Are you okay? Are you alright? Did he hurt? Are you alright?"

William shook his head 'no' in response, and Oliver hugged him tightly again.

"He's gonna be fine-" Chase began with a smirk on his face, before Oliver abruptly cut him off.

"Don't you talk to him! DON'T EVEN LOOK AT HIM!" He angrily yelled, pointing at Chase.

"You won." Chase said, gaining Oliver's attention, as he continued. "Your son has his father back, and he learned exactly who his father was. Just like you learned who your father was, right here on these very same waters."

"What?" Oliver asked, confused as to what Chase meant by that.

"William's younger than you were, so he's gonna be fine, you know?" Chase continued as he faced them both. "And you have each other."

"What are you, saying?" Oliver demanded, although he had this feeling on where this was going, and what Chase was alluding to.

"Which is good. Oliver, that's good." Chase said, before pulling out a revolver from his jacket, and aimed it towards his own temple. "Without Mom, and-"

Oliver, acting on instinct, flung a flechette at Chase's hand, disarming him of his handgun and pinning it to the door. Chase tried to pry the flechette off the door to get his gun, but Oliver was not having that. He then fired a tranquilizing arrow at Chase, hitting him in the back as he then fell down unconscious.

It was over, finally over. Adrian Chase, the Throwing Star Killer known as Prometheus, has finally been defeated!

Star City, Earth Prime

Present Day

"It's just such a strange thing to learn, that there's a whole other... world, I guess... where I died." Moira explained as a camera crew filmed her in an interview. "The people that knew my son best tell me that when Oliver sacrificed himself during the Crisis, that somehow he's the reason that everything changed. That the kind of world we're living in right now is a kind of gift from him."

Moira shook her head, trying to fight tears as she tried to figure out what to say next. Eventually, she found her voice. "I don't know, I'm just trying to process it."

"When I first found out that Ollie was the Arrow, I immediately and finally understood why he wasn't around a lot when he first came back to Starling City." Thea began, as she was the next person being interviewed. "Before I found out, I was angry each time he wasn't around because I thought that he flaked out on something or someone. He would then tell me something afterwards, something that I believed had to be a lie, but when he told me the truth about who he was and what he did every night, I thanked him for what he’s done; saving someone's life."

Thea's eyes welled in tears as she sniffled. She wiped her tears as she continued her interview. "When Ollie died during the Crisis, he sacrificed everything he had for everyone, so that we could all have a second chance. I just wish he could give himself a second chance as well."

Thea silently cried as she covered her mouth, stifling her sobbing as she grieved for Oliver, as Moira consoled her daughter, wrapping her arms around her.

Moira looked up at the camera crew, not saying a word and they nodded their heads in response as they shut their cameras off.

The Waverider

"Oliver was someone who cared deeply for his friends and his family. When we were both stranded on Lian Yu, he was one of the first people to see me for who I truly was, and I saw the same for him. That's one of the reasons why I loved him, and why I still do to this day." Sara Lance said, her voice strained as she was interviewed in the captain's office. "What he's done for us all is an example of how much he's come so far in a long time, and I'm proud of all he did."

Sara closed her eyes as she then solemnly looked down. "I just wish he was here to see the results of all of the hard work he did here."

Star City Police Department

"When I started this project, it was intended to explore the history and the pitfalls of vigilantism in Star City." Maria Pedowitz, the director of the documentary 'Emerald Archer', stated as she shook her head in disbelief. "I never thought this documentary would... have to be retooled to be a memorial."

The Bunker

"It's a hell of a legacy. Not just a city of heroes, a world of heroes." Rene Ramirez said, as he was the next person interviewed, sitting close by the suit display cases.

Central City Police Department, Central City

"I idolized the Arrow when he first appeared in Starling City, and I first met Oliver back when I visited Star City back in 2013, when I helped him with a case. Of course, I was only working with one of his associates at the time, so I didn't know she was working with the Arrow at the time, and I didn't know that Oliver and the Arrow were one in the same." Barry Allen explained as he was the next person interviewed. "But when Felicity needed my help to save Oliver, I did all I could to help him, and after I saved him, I stayed to help out a bit more in Starling, getting to know him and his allies a little more, before returning home to Central City."

Barry let out a sigh before continuing. "I earned Oliver's trust and gained his friendship as well. Despite the darkness he had within him, I saw that he was a good man, one of the bravest I've ever known. He was a good friend, and in every way, he was like a brother to me." He said, fighting back tears. "Sometimes, I tell myself I should've done more, could've done more."

The Glades

"Back then, I was just another random thug in the Glades, a nobody who stole money in order to survive. However, that changed when I met Thea, and while we fell in love, I began to change and become more than who I once was." Roy Harper said in a reflective tone. "It was Oliver who truly helped me become who I am today. Everything I am now, was all thanks to Oliver, and if he were here today, I'd say how forever grateful I am."

He feels his throat tighten as nearly choked his words. "He told me a while back that he first started this by going alone, that the mission would never be over, but life, as we all know, had a funny way of changing plans. He saved my life, and he gave me a purpose. He trained me, and I fought beside him as his partner, as Arsenal. Out there in the field, he was my partner, his trusted ally, and I will forever fight in his name and his memory" He finished.

"Thank you, that was very moving." Maria said, clearly inspired by his words.

He looks up to see Rene approaching him. "Hey, Roy." He greeted.

"Hey, man." Roy greeted back as he got up from his chair. "You alright?"

"Everything good." Rene assured, before seeing the look in Roy's eyes. "Why do I get the sense that the answer disappoints you?"

Roy slightly scoffed, whilst sniffling. "I just can't believe it, man."

Rene said nothing, but agreed as he looked around the neighborhood. He then gently patted Roy's arm. "Let's go."

The duo walked down the neighborhood as Rene then spoke. "When Oliver rebooted the universe, he fixed things. Ever since the Crisis, crime in Star City disappeared overnight. Literally."

"Roy, he... He saved the city." He emphasized.

"Yeah." Roy said, still unable to believe that this was all real.

"Come on, it's time." Rene said, gesturing to Roy to follow him.

At the Bunker, Roy, Rene, Thea, Laurel, Lauren, and Sara, clink their glasses with Russian vodka, in memory of Oliver.

"As Oliver once said... Prochnost." Roy toasted, raising his glass.

"Prochnost." Sara added, raising her glass as well.

Everyone then drank their glasses, with Roy gagging in disgust, not used to the taste.

"What is this stuff exactly?" Thea asked, looking at her empty glass.

"Vodka." Rene answered.

"Russian vodka, a gift from Anatoly from Oliver's time in Russia." Sara clarified.

"Yeah, it tastes like turpentine." Roy stated, still not used to taste.

"With some faint hints of nail polish remover." Thea added, with both Roy and Rene slightly nodding their heads in agreement.

"So what's the plan?" Roy asked, wanting to know what's next.

"I plan on getting as drunk as humanly possible." Lauren snarked, pouring herself more Russian vodka on her glass and drinking again.

"No, I mean after the funeral. From what I've seen, and what Rene told me earlier, there's not much need for vigilantes anymore." Roy explained.

"Lance's term ends in April, he's endorsing me." Rene said.

"As Mayor." Roy asked, unsure if he was serious or not.

"No, as a bald guy with an attitude." Rene deadpanned with sarcasm. "Yes, as Mayor."

"Oh." Roy slightly chuckled in amusement.

"Anyone else?" Rene asked, wanting to know what everyone's plans were for the future.

"Well, before Crisis, I pitched the idea of a League of Heroes to Talia, and she agreed with the idea. So the plan is we're going to travel the world, along with Nyssa, to recruit people who wish to follow our cause, to be a force for good and continue Oliver's mission as a way to honor his legacy." Thea explained.

"That sounds like a great idea, Thea." Roy complimented.

"Yeah, thanks." Thea mumbled, slightly shaking her head in response as she looked down, avoiding Roy's look.

"I've thought this one hard, and I've considered leaving the Legends." Sara revealed, much to the shock of her friends. "After everything that's happened in these last few years, after I was brought back, I finally realized that I started to become a shell of my former self, pretending to be someone I wasn't, and going through shenanigans with my team, even sleeping with a lot of women wherever I went. I wasn't around in Star City when Oliver or my family needed my help the most. But instead, I was acting like a clown, and I wish to change that for not just myself, but for everyone else.

Roy nodded his head in approval. "That sounds good, Sara. It's always best to be true to who you are, rather than be someone else." He faced the floor before looking back up. "Guy, I don't know about you, but I get this feeling that it's not over yet."

"Well, maybe you haven't heard what I said when crime in Star City disappeared overnight after the Crisis." Rene remarked.

"I mean, it's been a month ever since Crisis ended, and there's still a lot of stuff we don't know about." Roy countered, having this feeling that something wasn't right. "But what I do know is that while Oliver's gone, his mission is not over yet."

Slabside Maximum Penitentiary

As Stanley Dover sat in a self-isolation cell in solitary, eating his meal, his mind whirled on Oliver's death. He wanted to show his 'friend' that he didn't need anyone but himself, but of course, Oliver's wife and son had to get in his way. He needed to plan another escape, but he had to wait for the right moment.

Arrow' s7e13 "Star City Slayer" Preview: Kevin Smith Connection? [Video]

Suddenly, he was taken out of his thoughts when he heard gunfire coming from the prison corridor. He put his plate aside and got up, nearing the meal slot at the door to hear guards screaming as saw them all being slaughtered, one by one, as he also heard a sonic scream from the corridor, sending a guard flying as he hit the back of his head on the wall, killing him.

When the sounds stopped, Stanley heard footsteps coming nearby, and each step came closer and closer, and then they stopped. Hearing his cell door being unlocked, he quickly went back to his spot and sat there like he had seen or heard nothing, as the cell door finally opened as he looked in shock to see who it was.

"Mr. Dover, we're here to make a proposition with you." A male voice said from outside.

"What kind of proposition, might I ask?" Stanley inquired, intrigued.

"What if we told you that you can take your revenge on all of Oliver Queen's friends and family?" A female voice added from outside as well.

Stanley's face twisted into a sadistic smile as he stood up from his spot. "I'm listening." He said, interested to know where this was going.

In an abandoned warehouse in Star City, three women, a beautiful, red-haired light-skinned woman, an Asian woman with white hairs, and a black woman with long dark hair, all entered the building as they encountered one another.

Doux Reviews: Arrow: The Sin-Eater

"Warner, Cutter? What is the meaning of this?" China White asked the two.

"I assumed you two knew. I received specific instructions from an anonymous source to arrive at this warehouse, at this exact time." Eliza Warner explained.

"Me too." Carrie Cutter, Cupid, added as well.

"Chien Na Wei, Carrie Cutter, and Eliza Warner. I see you three got my message, welcome." A male voice greeted as the figure stepped out of the shadows and walked into the light, revealing to be Adrian Chase.

"Adrian Chase, the Throwing Star Killer." China White noted, as both Cutter and Warner slightly paled in fear at seeing the infamous serial killer in person, having heard rumors about him in the past. "What is it that you want from us?"

"I'm here to offer you three a deal, one that you can't possibly refuse." Chase began."

"What kind of deal?" Warner demanded.

"Revenge, against Oliver Queen, starting with his family."

That response gained the women's attention, as they listened in to Chase's offer.

"Go on." China White said, interested as she wanted to hear more.

Notes:

One of the ideas I had for this fic was that I wanted to have old enemies return for the finale, as a way to finally bring closure to Oliver's story. We don't know what happened with China White, the Ninth Circle, or the Longbow Hunters after the end of Arrow, so there are loose ends that need to be tied up there.

Honestly, Sara was ruined in Legends, and looking back, I can kinda see how. While she was decent in some episodes, she was often making out or sleeping with other women from different time periods. That being said, the fact that she didn't stay in Star City after her father died was a wasted opportunity to bring her back in Arrow, or to begin a grieving arc for her on Legends Season 4.

Speaking of, I don't get why Thea, Roy, Sara, or Barry never got interviewed after Oliver's sacrifice in the finale. So here, I decided to fix that by adding their interviews in. I hope I did well with them. I originally had William and Samantha interviewed as well, but I realized that it wouldn't work because they wouldn't want the attention around them. That, and the interview I wrote in got erased, so I had no patience to do a new one.

If you're wondering why Diggle or Dinah were not interviewed, let alone appear in this chapter, that will be explained in the next chapter.

Leave a review and let me know if you want this to continue.

13 years ago, North China Sea

As Oliver, his father Robert Queen, and a surviving crew member of the Queen's Gambit, Dave Hackett, all sat on the raft in the North China Sea, Robert tells his son, who is exhausted, that he can survive this, and insists that he make it home, to make it better and right his wrongs. He insists that he lives through this first.

With that, Robert gently pushes Oliver aside and pulls out a handgun and shoots Dave in the head, his body falling into the water, waking Oliver up in an alarmed gesture.

"Hey." Sara greeted Mia in her room, startling Mia.

"What the frak?!" She demanded, turning her head to face Sara.

"Sorry. I-I didn't mean to scare you." Sara apologized before explaining. "I meant to time portal to your front door, but I... I guess I overshot the mark." She then looked around Mia's room. "This is a... this is a nice room."

"Time portal?" Mia asked, confused.

"Yeah, I'm a time-traveler, remember?" Sara reminded, before adding. "Well, soon-to-be retired time traveler, but you get the point."

"Right. Okay, um, and why did you time travel here?" Mia inquired, wanting to know why Sara arrived in 2040.

"Because I'm here to take you to your father's funeral." Sara revealed, as Mia then had a face of consideration.

Back in the present day, Roy trains on the salmon ladder before coming back down to his feet. "You know, I actually should've tried that sooner. It's not that hard actually."

"Yeah, probably because you have one robot arm assisting you." Rene remarked, gesturing to Roy's prosthetic arm.

Laurel then approached Lauren as she drank her glass. "Are you doing okay?"

"When am I ever not okay?" Lauren snipped.

"Agreed. I don't think any of us are okay, but it seems to be hitting you particularly hard." Laurel acknowledged, seeing the look on her twin's face.

"I'm fine, like always." Lauren firmly stated.

Laurel could see that she was not fine, but stayed silent and chose not to press forward. Roy then approached Lauren at her side.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

Lauren turned her head slightly as she nodded her head. "Yeah. Let's do this."

The two walked to a nearby desk with tattoo supplies as Roy then asked Lauren. "So, what did Oliver call this?"

"Ramirez said that he called it the 'Mark of Four'." Lauren answered, sitting down in a chair, while Roy sat down and picked up the tattoo machine, filling the needle with ink.

"So what's up with you?" She asked, rolling her right sleeve for the tattoo.

Roy let out a nervous sigh as he worked before speaking. "I'm just- I'm nervous about the funeral."

"Yeah." Lauren whispered.

"Yeah, you know, Thea's gonna be there." Roy said.

"Yeah, I noticed that things were awkward between you two earlier." Laurel stated.

"I kinda left Thea abruptly." Roy revealed.

"Oh." Lauren let out, understanding his situation. "So, that's why your conversation was awkward earlier."

"Yeah." Roy said quietly.

"Well, look at it this way. After everything you, Thea, and Oliver have done in the last few years, seeing your ex-girlfriend again should be a piece of cake." Lauren suggested.

"That's why I'm scared. I don't want her to be my ex-girlfriend anymore." Roy revealed, much to Lauren's surprise, but to her delight as she slightly smiled.

Rene then approached the duo. "Sorry to interrupt, but I've been wondering if any of you are wondering when Felicity's coming to town?

"I honestly don't know if she's coming, Rene." Roy stated.

"It's her husband's funeral, man." Rene protested.

"That's exactly why I think she might miss it, Ramirez." Lauren said. "Felicity has a nanny watching over her kid right now, and she hasn't even made it out of bed. I'm not sure how we can help her." She sighed.

"Yeah." Rene agreed on that, before adding. "But at least William and his mother will be there."

"Yeah." Roy nodded his head in agreement, as did Lauren.

"Hey, I never asked, where are Dig and Dinah? Where are they in this new world?" Rene asked out of curiosity.

"Short version. In this reality, Oliver kicked Diggle out because of what he said to him that day they had that fight down here in the Bunker. Oliver and John had different views about putting the Team under surveillance, and that they even an opportunity to save Vincent Sobel, and how Diaz had control over Star City, mostly because he brought drugs from the Dragon, but really, John was being a baby for not getting the Green Arrow suit back, let alone getting a promotion. At that moment, Diggle then told Oliver that he, and I quote, 'leaves a trail of bodies every place that he goes'." Roy explained.

"Wow." Rene gaped, unable to believe that.

"Yep, and Oliver was not happy with the statement. To the point where Oliver countered that his trail of bodies never included his own brother. Diggle was taken aback and fought Oliver over that. After that, Oliver kicked Diggle out, and told him to never return."

"Yeah, I mean, I know I was against Oliver for spying on us, but I've matured ever since, and I made peace with him and apologized. I've made mistakes and I wish to make amends for it." Rene said, looking down in shame.

"Agreed there." Lauren said.

"And Dinah?" Rene inquired, wanting to know where she was.

"Because of her association with Vincent Sobel in this reality, along with attacking Quentin during that whole 'Team Arrow Civil War', both Oliver and Quentin had stripped Dinah of her badge and gun from the SCPD, and was placed under arrest for criminal association with a known mass murderer and assaulting a city official." Lauren explained.

"Damn!" Rene exclaimed, before wondering. "And Curtis?"

"Still working in Washington D.C., but we chose not to restore his memories." Roy said, before whispering. "Between you and us, he was such a wimp."

"I know!" Rene whispered back in agreement.

Star City Rail

Arriving at the train station, Samantha Clayton and her son William walked through the terminal as they waited outside for a cab to take them to the Queen Mansion.

samantha clayton | Who's Who

"How are you holding up, honey?" Samantha asked her son.

"I'm doing fine." William answered in a downhearted tone. "I just miss him a lot."

Samantha wrapped one arm around her son, as she gently soothed him. "I know, baby."

She then spoke to William. "But I think Oliver would've wanted you to live your life in the way you wanted. He gave you a second chance, just as he did with me and everyone else, and it's up to us to not waste it."

William slowly nodded his head as he took in his mother's words of advice. "Yeah."

Suddenly, a dart hit Samantha in the back of her neck, making her stagger to the sidewalk, much to William's concern.

"Mom! Are you alright?" He cried out, kneeling to her side as he tried to help her.

However, he then felt a pair of arms grab him and pull him away from his mother. "Mom! Mom!" He shouted in despair as he struggled to escape, gaining his mom's attention.

"WILLIAM!" Samantha cried out in fear, trying to reach out to her son, but eventually lost consciousness and fell on the pavement.

Much later, at the Bunker, Laurel walked up to see Mia typing on one of the computers as she was searching for something.

"Mia?" She asked, wondering what she was doing here.

"Don't worry, the Monitor didn't drop me off here 'cause there's another Crisis coming." Mia assured, her face on the computer.

"Still doesn't explain what you're doing here." Laurel wondered.

"Your sister showed up in my room, literally, and thought I might enjoy going to my dad's funeral." Mia explained, still focused on the computer.

Laurel slightly leaned on the desk as she then asked, "What are you doing with all this stuff?"

"Trying my best to channel my inner mom." She quipped, much to both Laurel's slight confusion and amusement. "Sorry. When Sara dropped me off, she gave me this whole lecture about not telling people the future. So..."

Laurel nodded her head in understanding.

"A few weeks before Sara showed up, something happened." Mia began as she remembered William's kidnapping in front of her, but not revealing too much. "Right in front of me. I couldn't do anything to stop it, and I'm already failing at being the Green Arrow."

Laurel eventually spoke up. "Mia, when my sister died, when she was killed and sent tumbling off a rooftop with arrows in her chest, I wanted to honor her memory, and I did that by taking up her mantle and becoming the Black Canary. But I wasn't trained, I wasn't experienced, and I wasn't Sara. I was using the mantle as a way to escape everything going on, and it wasn't until my encounter with Werner Zytle that I learned that truth in a very painful way."

"You never mentioned that." Mia said, horrified to hear all of that.

"Mia, what this team does is not easy, it never is. There are setbacks, tragedies, and moments of doubt, but your father was able to carry all of that, pushed forward and always found a way. I know Oliver would be so damn proud of you, and how you're carrying all of that."

"I can't even do the one thing he risked his entire life to do, protect my family." Mia stated, feeling doubt in herself. "How can I be the Green Arrow if I can't do that?"

"Whatever happened in the future sounds bad, but I know that you will find a way to overcome that doubt and how to protect your family. But don't do it like Oliver did it, do it in a way you would do. You honor your father's legacy by continuing his mission as the new Green Arrow, but this is your story now, and you must continue to write it."

As Mia took in Laurel's advice and considered her words, the computer started beeping as the two looked in more closely to see what was going on.

"What is this?" Mia questioned.

"I'm not sure, but it looks like something that only Felicity would understand." Laurel responded, as she then felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. She pulled out her phone to see Samantha's contact number on her screen, and answered it. "Hello?" She began, nearing her phone by her ear. Her face then shifted into a look of shock as she heard what Samantha said on the other side of the phone.

She then turned to Mia, while placing her hand over her phone. "Turn on the monitor and put on the news!" She whispered.

Mia did as told and typed on the keyboard, before standing up and approaching the monitor, along with Laurel. The screen turned on and pulled up Channel 52 News, with its anchorwoman Bethany Snow and a picture of William on screen.

Bethany Snow | Who's Who

"William Clayton, the son of the late hero Oliver Queen, was abducted earlier tonight in Star City at the Star City Rail, having arrived there from Central City beside his mother, Samantha. According to Ms. Clayton, she claims to have been hit with something on her neck, and saw a man with a beard take her son away before passing out, but the police have been unable to confirm any suspects in the kidnapping." She reported, as both Mia and Laurel watched with disbelief, with Mia being the most affected.

This can't be happening, not again!

Notes:

I know some of you are glad that the 'Green Arrow and the Canaries' spin-off never got greenlit, but I was honestly let down. I mean, I wanted to see how the story would've continued, and who was behind William's kidnapping in 2040. A lot was set up, but those were all wasted in the end.

But then again, I accepted it and moved on, and I'm gonna put a sock in it, and not complain about it.

I wanted Laurel to be the one who would offer Mia some advice, after gaining perspective and a realization after coming back post-Crisis, and this is going to affect how Mia will go forward as the new Green Arrow.

Diggle and Dinah really infuriated me in Season 6, that's all I'm going to say. I know some of you feel the same way as well.

Stay tuned for the next chapter.

Much later, Laurel, Lauren, Sara, along with Alena Whitlock, Rory Regan, Evelyn Sharp, Lyla Michaels, Tommy Merlyn, Roy, Thea, and Samantha all gathered in the Bunker as Alena worked on the computers, hoping to find anything on William's exact location.

Roy stepped down as he then approached Thea, who stood aside from the group.

"Hey." He greeted, an awkward tension filled the atmosphere.

"Hey." Thea greeted back.

"I'm sorry about the way I left. I just-" Roy began, but trailed off, unable to fight the words.

"Ollie's passed away, and William's been kidnapped. So, as far as apologies go, your timing is a little not great." Thea said, before walking away.

Roy sighed before then walking up and approaching Rene. "Well, if you think that Oliver's mission is finished, tell that to William when we get him back." He stated.

"We will get him back, hoss." Rene argued. "I mean, he was kidnapped here in Star City."

"Sure, that will make him feel a whole lot better." Roy said.

"I reached out to Felicity, but I got radio silence." Alena spoke up.

"I went to check up on her, and I'd say she's coming in right about-" Sara trailed off as everyone in the Bunker heard a sound.

The elevator doors opened to reveal Felicity Smoak, wearing a blue cardigan, as she arrived in the Bunker. "Wow, I haven't seen this many people down here in a while." She began nervously.

Everyone else turned to face her, as Roy greeted her. "Hey." He then approached her and hugged her, which she returned.

Sara then approached Felicity and hugged her as well, before separating.

"It's almost like a party." Felicity shakily said, as she walked up to the monitors, passing by Mia, who looked at her emotionally.

Felicity then sat down on a chair, as she then began to do her thing on the monitors.

"I tried running a quad-grid search tasked to a keyhole satellite array, but..." Alena explained, before Felicity took over.

"That array's dark-sided as it undergoes a firmware upgrade." She understood. "But fortunately when William moved to Central City, his overbearing stepmom implanted a subdermal tracking device into his arm."

"I'm sorry, what?!" Samantha demanded loudly.

"Yeah, I knew I was going to get that." Felicity winced at the shout. "And yes, that is pretty ethical, and debatable, but that's not important right now." She then typed again on the monitors.

"The device went dark after he was abducted, so whoever kidnapped him, knew that he had the device in his arm." She said, seeing that the device was offline.

"Well, that's convenient at least." Rory remarked.

"Just one second as I work up a statistically correlated list of possible locations he could be at." Felicity told everyone as she worked on the locations where William could be at. The computer showed a grid map of the locations, graphed in red.

"That is a very long list." Alena noted.

"Which is why we called everyone." Lauren responded, as Felicity gently held her hand, which she grasped gently before Roy got their attention.

Thank you all for coming, some on very short notice." He began as walked to the center of the command post, with all members of the team, past and present, looking at him. "Oliver made the ultimate sacrifice for his friends and his family. And now, a part of his family, his son, needs our help. This is our most important mission, so be prepared for anything we might find. For Oliver."

Everyone stared at Roy as they all nodded firmly.

With that, he gave the order. "Suit up."

Later, Roy, in his Arsenal suit, along with Thea, raced across the rooftop of the Van Wayne Industries building, with the duo jumping off the rooftop and rolling to their feet on another, before Thea jumped off while Roy flipped across, both arriving on another as they then looked around.

"Okay, well, he's not here." Thea said before asking. "What was the next place on Felicity's list?"

"Kord Industries." Roy replied.

"All right, well, let's go." She said, before Roy spoke.

"Hey, can I talk to you for a second?" He asked.

"You already did back at the bunker, OK? I get it. You're sorry-" Thea said, before Roy took over.

"No. I never told you why I left." He said.

"And you don't need to." Thea assured. "I understand. You were going through a lot."

"Dying, getting resurrected, it gave me a whole new perspective on... on everything, including you. You know, I got my whole life back, and I realized that I wanted you in it... forever and... and always." Roy explained, finally saying what he's been meaning to say to her all night.

"And what does that mean?" Thea questioned, wondering what he meant by all this, and where this was all going.

Roy decided that it was to take a leap of faith. "It means... will you marry me?"

The question took Thea aback as she was not expecting to hear that question at all. "Uh..." She let out, not knowing what to say.

In an abandoned building in Star City, Rory, in his Ragman suit, scares a group of homeless people squatting there away by extending his rags, as both Rene, in his Wild Dog uniform, and Evelyn, in her Artemis uniform, arrive in time. They had arrived there as the second team in search of William, and the building was in Felicity's list.

Ragman (Rory Regan) | Who's Who

Nice. I would've fired some shots." Rene quipped, removing his hockey mask.

"My way's scarier." Rory retorted, as he removed his mask.

"If you two are done with comparing scare tactics, we do have a kid to search for." Evelyn reminded the duo.

The three then walked down the hallway in search of William as Rene held up a flashlight to see in the dark. No sign of the boy thus far, but they have seen more homeless people in the building.

"So, how are things? It's been a while." Rene asked.

"Yeah. Well, a while is what it took for these rags to work again. Since then, I've been fighting for justice." Rory explained.

"To honor your father?" Rene inquired.

"To honor Oliver. Because Oliver killed Damien Darhk in Iron Heights in this reality, Genesis never happened, and Havenrock was never destroyed. My family survived, but I still became the hero I was meant to be." Rory elaborated.

"That's good to hear." Evelyn said, pleased to learn that.

"Yeah, that reminds me, why are you here, Short-Fry?" Rene questioned, as he and Rory both shot her looks of scorn. "I thought you sold us out to Chase, and mysteriously vanished after what happened in Lian Yu."

Evelyn winced at that reminder as she looked down in shame. But she took a deep breath as she then spoke up. "In this reality, Oliver saved my family from H.I.V.E., and after that, I was inspired by Oliver to become a hero, and he recruited me. And my working with Chase in this reality was actually a deception because I was working undercover to see if I could find any intel on Chase to use against him. As for Lian Yu, Oliver stopped Chase from killing himself, and after that, I retired so I could focus on my personal life, but would come often if any of you ever needed help."

She then deeply sighed as a look of regret appeared on her face. "We called Oliver a fraud and a murderer, and I sold you all out to Chase in the old reality, but after what happened on Lian Yu, and after this... Crisis, I finally saw that Oliver was a hero, and I was wrong."

Rene's look then lightened as he took in Evelyn's confession. "I mean, Oliver and I, we've had our differences over the years." He said.

"Yeah, I assumed." Rory added.

"Why?" Rene inquired, raising an eyebrow as he turned to face him.

"Well, for starters, you were rebellious, disobeyed orders, and didn't think much of him at first." Rory stated, listing the reasons why he and Oliver were different.

"Yeah." Rene agreed, looking down before speaking. "Like I said earlier, back in the Bunker, I've made mistakes that I'm not proud of, and I know Oliver and I made amends with one another after that whole trial two years ago, but what I did to him, I want to atone for that."

"Well, that's a good thing. I mean, of everyone, you're the most like him." Rory said.

"No, I'm not." Rene said, shaking his head in disagreement. "Roy's the one most like him. I may have my virtues, but they're not Oliver's. I have my flaws, so I'm not like him."

He then tilted his head. "Come on, let's keep on searching for William."

In another abandoned building, Lauren, in her Black Siren uniform, used echolocation to hear any sign of anyone in the building, while Laurel, in her Black Canary uniform, held up her flashlight as she looked down the hallway.

"Clear!" Black Siren shouted.

"Clear!" Black Canary responded.

Suddenly, Sara, in her White Canary outfit, arrived in front of the twins.

"I searched the whole building." Sara said. "There's no sign of William here."

So, where the hell is he?!" Siren demanded, huffing in frustration, as she then walked away quickly, before Laurel caught up to her. "Okay, what's the matter with you?" She demanded.

"With me?" Lauren retorted.

"Yes! When I talked to you at the Bunker, you said that you were okay, but the way you spoke to me, you didn't seem fine." Laurel answered, before gently asking. "What's going on?"

Lauren sighed in exasperation, seeing that there was no hiding it. "It's about Oliver. Well, not exactly him, but... who his sacrifice brought back." She began.

"Like me?" Laurel inquired.

"And Tommy, Moira, Quent-Dad, and Samantha... even Harrison Wells from my old Earth and his daughter." Lauren added before pausing. She then found her words as she spoke again. "...Them I get, I understand, but why me? Why did Oliver bring me back as well after everything?"

"Well, I mean, we don't know the exact full rules of this whole 'coming back to life' thing, and that says a lot because we have seen the Lazarus Pits." Laurel said.

"Yes, we do." Lauren interjected. "You're all of the people who Oliver would have wanted his sacrifice to bring back, and I'm still here. After everything with Zoom, Chase, and Diaz, why did he choose to bring me back as your twin sister in this reality instead of leaving me forgotten?" She questioned, with tears in her eyes.

"Because he knew how hard you were working to redeem yourself during your time as me." Lauren began, stepping close to her twin as she held her shoulders. "Yeah, you were an evil doppelganger of mine who worked with villains. But over time, you began to change yourself for the better after suffering a dark and tragic past on your old Earth and after working with villains who you thought would be great father figures. In the end, however, you've come and proven yourself worthy to take up the mantle of Black Canary, a mantle created by Sara and carried on by me."

"Even some people are deserving of a second chance, regardless of the darkness, you are someone who deserves a second chance, not just in redemption, but also in life." Sara stated further.

Lauren looked down, feeling emotional as she took in both her sisters' words.

Mia, in her Green Arrow uniform, zip-lined to a rooftop as she jumped off the cable and landed in a pose, before getting up to her feet and looking for any sign of William. However, she then heard footsteps, and turned around quickly to see William, only he struggled as he was pushed forward by someone.

"Let him go!" Mia warned, pulling out an arrow from her quiver and nocking it on her bow, aiming at the suspect.

The suspect turned to face Mia, as he then showed his face, revealing a middle aged man with light skin and a beard, with an alarmed expression.

John Byrne - Arrow | TVmaze

Mia looked at the man, but frowned, having never seen him before in her life. "Who the hell are you?" She demanded.

As both Mia and the man stood still, with his grip on William, Mia kept her aim on the man, as she slightly marched forward. "I said, who are you!" She demanded.

"You're wearing his hood, you should know!" The man retorted back.

Mia stared in confusion as she tried to figure out exactly who this person was, and why he kidnapped William. Eventually, she finally figured it out quickly.

Winter, 2012

In an abandoned factory, Oliver, as the Hood, takes on the men of Black Armada, a private security firm made up of former soldiers from Special Forces, and hired by John Byrne, the next person on Oliver's list, having been targeted for using his position as CEO of a beer company as a front for human trafficking.

SNEAK PEEK : 'Deadshot' Is The "Lone Gunman"

The Hood dodges a punch from a Black Armada soldier, ducking as he then shoves him aside to the wall behind him. He turns to two assailants with rifles, who open fire at him, but miss as he then fires arrows at them in their shoulders, shooting them down. The thug who tried to punch the Hood gets back up and tries to attack him again, but the Hood deflects a blow before jabbing him in the torso with his bow, and grabbing him by his vest, lifting him up and knocking him out by hitting his head on a ceiling beam.

The Hood then charges down the stairs and decks another soldier to the floor, before firing two arrows, one to another thug on his left and the other to the one on his right, killing him as he tumbled down the stairs. The Hood then fights another soldier as he charges the vigilante, but the Hood easily takes him down with jabs to his torso, deflecting a left kick with his right elbow as he then elbowed him in his side and kicked him, before throwing him aside. Another thug charges at the Hood with a baton, but the Hood easily caught his right arm, forcing him to drop the baton as he then slightly throws him at the exterior of a giant container and shoving him to the edge of a steel rectangular vat filled with water and kneeing him in the torso. The Hood then grabbed the thug and turned him around as he then forced his head into the water as he dragged him across the vat before pulling him back up and pushing him away, firing an arrow at him and another soldier who appeared in the corridor.

The Hood walks down the corridor as he then sees another soldier, and charges at him, pushing him into a pressure tank and sending him to the floor as he made his way forward before turning back and shooting an arrow at the soldier, who tried to shoot the vigilante with his handgun, and firing another arrow at another soldier.

The Hood then sees another soldier with a handgun in his hand, but quickly disarms him and slams his head on a metal pipe, leaving a dent on it and knocking him out cold, as he then fires two more arrows, one to a soldier on his right and the other to his left. The Hood continues to make his way through the corridor as yet another Black Armada soldier charges at the archer, but he quickly shoves him to the wall of the pressure tank, forcing the soldier to drop his gun before pushing him down the stairs. The Hood pulls an arrow from his quiver as he then nocks it and aims at the soldier, who tries to get back up but extends his left hand once he sees what the Hood is going to do to him.

"No, please! Please-" He pleads in vain, before the Hood lets go of the bowstring, firing the arrow and killing him. Normally, the Hood would've let the man go with a warning, but seeing as how these people are hired to protect a human trafficker, he will not show leniency. With that, he continued to walk through the factory as he walked through the doorway.

The Hood charges at another Black Armada soldier by the collar of his vest and shoves him to a wall, knocking him to the floor as he then fires arrows at three other soldiers, two in front of him and one in the staircase, before turning around and firing an arrow to the soldier he shoved and turning back to shoot an arrow at another soldier on the staircase, who opened fire at the Hood with a rifle.

The Hood takes on a soldier who charges at the vigilante, but the Hood deflects his attacks as he then grabs him and knees him in the torso, before wrapping his arm around his neck and flipping him over, throwing him onto the floor and incapacitating him. The Hood then fires an arrow at one soldier as another tries shooting him with his handgun, but the Hood dodges the bullets and grabs his arm, trying to force him to drop the gun as he punches him on his side. While the Hood struggled with the soldier, another shoots at him, although the vigilante is able to make quick work with the soldier he was busy with by kicking his head on the metal pipes, knocking him out, before turning his attention to the soldier shooting him as he then fired an arrow at him, killing him.

Another soldier charges at the Hood with a handgun in his hand, but the Hood pushes his arm upward, making him miss a shot, before slamming him on the pipes and throwing him over them. The Hood fires an arrow at another soldier before making his way to another one and two exchange blows as more  soldiers enter the corridor. The soldier grabs the Hood's right arm and flips him over his shoulder, but the archer easily lands to his feet and charges at the soldier, pushing him back onto the support beams, specifically the ceramic area, incapacitating him.

The Hood then gets back up halfway as he fires at another soldier to his left in the shoulder, making him fall onto the pipes, before charging at another soldier as he deflected hits and jabbed him in the torso, staggering him to the floor. Another soldier charges at the Hood but the archer shoots an arrow at him, before kicking the soldier he jabbed in the shin, making him fall face-first to the floor and knocking him out. The Hood then grabs another soldier, who stood on the pipes, and pulls him down on the floor, also avoiding gunfire as another soldier charges at the Hood from behind, but the Hood quickly back kicks him, sending him falling back on the pipes.

The Hood then fires an arrow at one soldier charging him, while another tries to punch him, but the vigilante grabs his arm, stopping his attack and then flipping him over the metal pipes, before scaling over the pipes. He then fires two arrows, one at the soldier in front of him, and another behind him on the left who tries shooting him with a rifle. He then sees silhouettes of more Black Armada soldiers coming and continues to make his way through the factory.

Arriving outside the factory, the Hood fires two more arrows at two soldiers, and sees one charging at him at his left,  before grabbing him by the vest and slamming him by the wall of the metal tank and then tossing him to the floor as the archer then grapples another soldier before spinning and falling back first to the ground while throwing the soldier over him. The Hood quickly gets back up to his feet and fires an arrow at him, killing the soldier.

With that, the Hood climbs up the ladder and walks through the metal walkway. However, he sees more Black Armada soldiers and goes to punch one of them, but they all charge at the Hood, swarming him as they each attack him repeatedly with more soldiers coming to assist.

Growling, the Hood pulls out a smoke pellet and drops it over the pathway grate as the smoke then releases, causing the soldiers to be somewhat blind as they to strike the Hood as he then aims his bow high and fires a grappling arrow, zip-lining up as he escaped the horde of soldiers while grabbing one of them, who screamed before the Hood then let him go, falling to the ground.

Two Black Armada soldiers were on the giant tanks as they opened fire at the Hood, but they missed each shot before the archer threw two flechettes at them, killing them both, and let go of the grappling arrow, landing on his feet on another pathway as he then fired one arrow to the soldier who tried to charge at him and spinning around and firing the second arrow to the one who tried to attack him behind.

Finally clear of all obstacles, the Hood pulls out a zip-line arrow and fires it, before using the line to cross to another rooftop of the factory. He then lands in a pose before getting up to his feet. Suddenly, a gunshot was then heard, with a bullet hitting the Hood's shoulder as he turned around, slightly growling in pain. He saw a man with a beard, aiming a gun at him, before flinging a flechette at his hand, disarming him of the gun as the man yelped in surprise.

The Hood slightly stepped forward while the man stepped back in fear. "You stay back!" The man yelled.

The Hood then pulled out an arrow and aimed it at the man. "John Byrne! You have failed this city!" He growled, maintaining his aim at his target.

Back in the present day, Mia kept her aim at the suspect, John Bryne. "Let him go!" She demanded.

"I brought him up here to throw him off. My whole life ended right here!" Byrne explained, gesturing to this rooftop they were all on right now.

"I don't care! Final warning." Mia snapped, readying herself to fire the arrow.

"He thought he was saving me. Eight years in Iron Heights never saved anyone." Byrne sneered,

"So you kidnap his son, the man who spared your life?!" Mia demanded in anger. "I should put this arrow in you right now!"

Byrne then threw William aside, raising his arms up in surrender, awaiting for the release of death. "Do it! After 8 years in prison, I got nothing left to live for anyway! Go ahead!"

Mia considered for a moment, ready to let go of the bowstring and fire the arrow as William watched on in fear and anticipation while holding his shoulder in pain, but then she remembered Laurel's advice from earlier.

"Don't do it like Oliver did it, do it in a way you would do." She heard her voice tell her in her head.

With that, Mia removed her arrow from the bowstring and put it back in her quiver, as Byrne looked on in disbelief. "No. If Oliver Queen didn't kill you, then neither will I, but your ass is going back to prison." She firmly stated, while slightly walking forward towards him.

Suddenly, an arrow pierced Byrne right in his chest where his heart was, killing him as his body then fell backwards to the ground, much to both Mia's and William's shock.

"Such a failure that man was." They heard a female voice say, and Mia turned around to see an Asian woman in a red and black uniform.

Emiko Adachi (Green Arrow) All Fights from Arrow

"You?!" Mia demanded in shock, not being able to believe who she was seeing.

"Hello, dear niece." Emiko Adachi greeted, with a smirk on her face.

What are you doing here, Emiko?" Mia demanded, slowly stepping back.

"Simple, I'm continuing what I started, and finishing what I should've done last year, making your family suffer the way I suffered by destroying your father's legacy." Emiko Adachi explained, before pointing her bow towards William. "Starting with him."

William gasped as Mia stood in front of him, in a protective stance as he hid behind her.

"Why, Emiko? My dad brought you back, he prevented your death! He saved you!" Mia shouted in disbelief.

"Because the world sees him as a hero, when he does not deserve to be a hero! His father, your grandfather, abandoned me and chose his family over me, his own daughter! And if I had to suffer without my father, then shall William and everyone who stood with Oliver!" Emiko snapped. "But I was more of the planner in orchestrating John Byrne's breakout and kidnapping. The real people who broke Byrne out of prison are right here." She elaborated before gesturing to two individuals stepping out of the silhouettes, forcing Mia to freeze as she finally saw who they were.

Mia then saw Dinah Drake arrive on the rooftop, in her BC uniform, as John Diggle joined beside her, in his Spartan uniform sans his helmet, with red trims, as they both stood beside Emiko.

You two assisted in a convict's escape? You allowed a convicted human trafficker to kidnap a young boy?! Why? How could you both do this to my father, you two of all people!" She demanded, with shock and disbelief in her voice.

"Because we want revenge for kicking us out! Oliver and Lance both fired me from being SCPD and left me to rot in Iron Heights with a metahuman dampening collar, all because I tried to get justice for Vinny!" Dinah snarled.

"And Oliver kicked me off the team for telling him that he left a trail of bodies everywhere that he went, when he should've made me the Green Arrow! I SHOULD BE THE GREEN ARROW! I SHOULD BE THE ONE TO WEAR THE SUIT! NOT YOU!" Diggle shouted, revealing his true colors.

"Don't give me any of that, both of you." Mia sneered. "Dad told me everything about you all before Crisis, and the whole truth, not your pathetic sob stories. He told me how you belittled him, how you both disagreed with him." She then pointed her bow at Dinah. "How you sided with a madman who disregarded civilians as collateral damage and how you attacked Quentin, a man with a heart condition." She then moved her bow and gestured to John. "And you told my father that he leaves a trail of dead bodies everywhere that he went. He was right when he said that his trail of bodies never included his own brother. How he managed to deal with your behavior is beyond me, just as the fact of how JJ, Sara, and Connor managed with you growing up."

"Don't you dare go there, Mia." Diggle warned.

"Why not? I'm just stating the truth. I mean, you both turned your backs when he needed you most." Mia stated. "And he gave everything for this new world, gave everyone he knew a second chance, gave you a second chance, and you wasted it."

"That's enough, we all came here to do one job, and we're gonna finish it." Dinah said.

"We all?" Mia questioned.

"Mr. Diggle refers to us, Ms. Queen." A male voice said.

Malcolm Merlyn then arrived in his League uniform and armed with his bow and quiver, along with more people but suited in different uniforms and fully masked, Chase in his Prometheus outfit, China White, Cupid; armed with her bow and a quiver of heart-shaped arrows, Warner, Kane Wolfman, formally Joe Wilson, also arrived in a orange and black armor with a katana strapped on his back, along with armed men with rifles and suited with bulletproof vests; his Jackals, followed by Stanley Dover in a dark jacket with a crazed look, Simon Lacroix, A.K.A. Komodo, in a dark suit and wearing a mask underneath, and Lonnie Machin, A.K.A. Oh, frak." Mia groaned, paling as she saw how she was badly outnumbered.

"Face it, Mia. You're alone, and you can't take us all alone." Chase mocked.

Mia gripped her bow tightly, her knuckles underneath her gloves turning white, as she pulled out an arrow from her quiver and notched it on her bowstring, aiming at the villains as she breathed deeply. "If I must stand alone, then so be it. But I won't falter because unlike Diggle, Emiko, and Dinah, I will not betray my father's memory. I will honor him and his legacy by doing what he would've done; protecting our family, protecting my family, but I will do it my way and not the way he did. And if I die tonight trying to stop some of you, then someone else will carry on the fight, carry on my father's mission." She declared, standing her ground.

"Well, as far as final words go, that was really inspiring, dear niece." Emiko acknowledged, before pulling out an arrow and aiming it on her bow. "But unfortunately for you, you'll still die here alone."

Suddenly, a breach opened from behind Mia as everyone all looked to see Sara, Laurel, and Lauren, stepping out of it and standing beside Mia.

She's not alone." Sara said, as she then turned to Mia. "And you won't do it alone, Mia." She said, gesturing to the breach.

Suddenly, both Roy and Thea jumped out of the breach as well, arriving on the rooftop, followed by Rene, Evelyn, Rory, and Ray Palmer as he flew out, suited up in his A.T.O.M. exosuit. Then came Lyla and a team of A.R.G.U.S. soldiers, followed by Nyssa Al Ghul and Talia Al Ghul, Ben Turner, Helena Bertinelli, Tatsu Yamashiro in her Japanese armor while sporting a white mask with a red sun, Slade Wilson in similar orange and black armor, but wearing a black and orange helmet. Finally, Cisco Ramon came out in his Vibe uniform, followed by Caitlin Snow, as Frost, in her uniform, Mari McCabe in her Vixen attire and with her Anasi totem.

All of a sudden a blur of orange lightning then appeared out of the breach and William was then taken away from the rooftop. Then, Barry Allen, in his Flash uniform, zipped to where Mia was. "Alright, I sent William back to the Bunker, he's with Samantha and Felicity. He's safe, Mia." He said in assurance, much to Mia's relief.

NO!" Emiko cried out in anger, fuming that her plans were ruined, as she did not anticipate the appearance of Oliver's allies, let alone the appearance of the Speedster.

"Thank you, Barry." Mia said with a smile, not just for the Flash helping get her brother to safety, but also knowing that she had people who had her back for this battle. She then turned back to face Emiko and her allies. "You say that my father destroyed your life, Emiko, yet you're blind to see what he's done to those who fought beside him, those who've earned his trust." She then gestured to the people around her. "This is what he's accomplished, an era of heroes. This is a legacy worth honoring, worth fighting for."

"And a legacy worth destroying forever. Tonight, we will kill every one of my brother's friends and family, and after that, we will destroy his entire legacy. We will show them all the monster he truly was." Emiko declared.

"Now this is going to be a lot of fun." Chase said as he drew out his katana, while China White twirled her karambit knives, Malcolm pulled out an arrow and notched it in his bow with his followers unsheathing their bows as well, Cupid pulling out her heart-shaped arrow and notched it, Kane pulling out his katana as the Jackals aimed their weapons. Anarky pulls out a pair of kamas from inside his jacket, as Stanley pulls out a shiv from his back pocket, Komodo draws an arrow from his quiver and notches it on his longbow, Red Dart extends her right arm with a wrist device on it, and Silencer nears her hands on the device in her belt.

All of Team Arrow did the same in readying their weapons as Roy, Thea, and Evelyn notched their own arrows onto their respective bows, while Lyla pulled out her handgun from her holster, Rene doing the same with his handguns as he pulled them out from his holster, Rory extended his rags, Helena extended her arms as she aimed her two crossbows, Tatsu unsheathing her katana blades, along with both Nyssa and Talia as they both unsheathed their respective swords, Turner pulls out two brass knuckles with steel claws from his jacket and placed them on his hands, Slade unsheathes his sword as he drew out his gun from his holster, while mist appeared from Frost's hands, Vibe adjusted his goggles, and Flash's eye briefly glowing with lightning.

Mia closed her eyes as she whispered. "For William and my father." She then reopened them as she then pulled out an arrow from her quiver, and notched it on her bow. "You have all failed Star City!" She shouted.

With that, the heroes and villains all yelled, as they charged at each other, engaging in a full-blown final battle, to preserve the memory of the man who gave his life for this new world, and his legacy as well.

Notes:

I wanted to add detail as to why Oliver brought back both Laurels on Earth-Prime, as well as maybe assure those who were disappointed that E-1 Laurel didn't come back. I even wanted to add depth as to why Black Siren feels self-doubt and uncertainty to her return. I hope I did well in explaining this. I also had to add an explanation as to why Evelyn was with Team Arrow once more, and I hope that explains best for most people.

The flashback fight scene is badass and all, as it showed not just Oliver's skills as the Hood one last time (before the Flash 9x09), but also proof that aside from Roy, Thea, Sara, and Nyssa, Oliver did not need a team whatsoever. But I have to be frank here, this fight scene was very difficult to write, it literally took me like a week or two to finish this fight scene.

The part where Rory and Rene discuss the latter being like Oliver is inspired by Aragorn II Elessar's "Rest in peace for your fight is over" one-shot; in which he stated that Roy was more like Oliver, and not Rene, to which I agree; hence why I added that dialogue where Rene disagreed with Rory. Kudos to you, Aragorn.

Diggle and Dinah have now appeared, and you also now know why they joined with the villains, because they both had villain characteristics in Season 6, when you look back and think about it.

The next chapter is the final battle, and I have an idea on how this will all end, I just wanna leave you all with the anticipation of what comes next. But I could use some help for the fight scenes, so I'm open to any suggestions.

Notes:

As per the original, Oliver saved his mother from Slade on Earth-Prime. But I also wanted to add other changes. For this, I wanted to bring back Earth-1 Laurel, and change the outcome of her fate in Iron Heights. I also had this idea a while back that the two Laurels can exist on Earth-Prime, but with some crucial differences; they'd both be born as twins.

So for this, Earth-1 Laurel will be referred to as 'Laurel' or 'Black Canary' when in uniform, and Earth-2 Laurel will be referred to as 'Lauren' or 'Black Siren' when in uniform.

Also, Oliver stops Chase from killing himself, so no Lian Yu explosion means Samantha does not die in this.

There's also going to be a couple of more changes as this story progresses, so stay tuned.
