Summary
James learns two things the moment Regulus Black stumbles into his life once again. One, that he has absolutely no choice but to fall in love with the man, and two, that he’s fucked. Not because loving Regulus would be hard, he’s sort of always done it and it comes naturally to him, but because of Regulus’ toxic ex, who has messed him up and planted fake ideals and expectations in his head. He promises himself that he will do his absolute best to show Regulus what being loved actually feels like, which comes with a whole lot of learning.
Because in James’ eyes, to be loved is to be known.
