Summary
Brennan Sorrengail has known he was destined to be in the medical field since he was a child. It was his family's legacy, and one that he was expected not to break. What Brennan didn't expect was to fall in love with the same field of medicine as his mother...and then fall in love with his coworker.
This is a modern day AU in which Brennan and Naolin are partners on a MedEvac type flight team (who will eventually become partners in life and love as well). I have a few chapters drafted out and planned out, but I don't know how long this will be, in the end, hence the question mark. My goal is to make this as parallel(ish) to canon as I can, so canon events in the Empyrean series will still be canon events in this AU. Timelines may vary though. The majority of this fic is set in southwestern Virginia, so if you’re familiar with the state and the area, you may recognize some places!
