The guards looked out from the castle gates toward the fjord. There were some clouds on the horizon, and they didn’t look good.
“What a lovely day!” the visitor said.
“You’d better stay inside today,” one guard said. “Just look at those clouds!”
“Just because I’m not from around here, you think a little shower will bother me!” the visitor scoffed.
The guard shared a glance with his captain.
“This time of year,” the captain said, “it could mean rain, snow, ice, anything! And we have to come out and rescue you.”
“I’ll stay in town, then,” the visitor replied.
