Work Text:
Can knew that he was fucked, he knew that there was no going back when he saw the two lines. “Stupid, stupid,” he whispered to himself in the suddenly cold bathroom. He knew he was a carrier from a young age but he had never cared since he had convinced himself that he would date girls, that was until Tin came along. In the back of his mind, he knew what to do. Always use a condom, the safest way to avoid getting pregnant but here he was sitting in Tin’s bathroom holding a pregnancy stick indicating what he had dreaded for days.
He was supposed to be at practice but knowing that this was the only chance he would have away from Tin, he used the excuse of not feeling well, to skip it, not that he was feeling well in the first place. The dizziness and nausea had started a week ago and having Tin fuss over him was going to lead to two things, Tin's death or him moving back home. So he did the sensible thing. Bought a pregnancy test and rushed home, hoping he could tell Tin that he had nothing to worry about but only to be slapped back with two pink lines.
The worst part is he knows exactly when and where it happened. He had been so careful but stupid Tin and his sweet words. But to be fair he was much at fault as Tin was. He had forgotten Tin’s birthday and had taken advice from the worst person ever, Lay. Cooking dinner with just an apron was the worst idea ever, he was burning himself and to top it off was running late, so he texted Tin telling him he shouldn’t come back now, that he needed an hour, so much for that as Tin walked in the door just a few minutes after questioning him.
All his senses left the room when Tin picked him up and placed him on the counter, despite his best efforts to hide himself, he knew that there was no going back from this. It was only later that he realised what they had done. They were always careful but not this one time. He should have gone to the pharmacy but being locked away in the bedroom all weekend had its advantages and disadvantages. Now, Can knows it had a lot of disadvantages than advantages.
He stood up, flushed and rinsed his hands before grabbing his phone and typing “We need to talk,” and deleting it only to settle on ‘Are you still in class?’ knowing that Tin would still answer him and as he had expected a reply to come back shortly ‘Just walking to the car, do you want anything before I pick you up?’
‘Strawberry ice cream and I’m home,’ he replied
‘I thought you had practice,’ Can could see the frown on Tin’s face as he read the message.
‘Was not feeling well, but nothing to worry about,’ he typed, he knew that was not the case but also knew the man he had fallen in love with would comfort him and make everything better.
Tin walked in placed the tub of ice cream on the counter with tonight’s dinner and went into the bedroom, where he found Can searching for something. “Are you okay?” he asked concern visible on his face. He hated being in the dark and Can kept insisting that nothing was wrong, he knew better than anyone that Can had been throwing up for more than a week. “Yes, yes.” Can, dismissed him as he continued to search for whatever it was he was searching for. “I need to tell you something.” he slowly turned around holding a document. “I’m pregnant, we are having a baby,” and as if he never spoke those words, he kissed Tin, placed the document in Tin's hands and asked, “Did you buy my ice cream?”
“You are pregnant, how?” Tin asked following him into the kitchen, where he found Can licking the ice cream lid as he grabbed a spoon.
“When two people love each other or in must cases are attracted to each other...” Tin sighed and covered his face with his hands, Can, can be exhausting sometimes.
“I know how babies are made Can, but considering that we are both male I don’t see how you could be pregnant.”
“I found out that I was a carrier, when I was sixteen, I just didn’t think it mattered and since you and I always used protection, it slipped my mind.” he shrugged it of as he took another scoop of his ice-cream. "Everything you need to know about being a carrier is in that document." He was putting on a brave face, he knew it and so did Tin.
“Yes, that we do, so when did we... Oh, oh shit... birthday baby, damn. That will be an interesting story to tell.” Tin smirked.
“Don’t you dare, Tin. You don’t have permission to tell anyone about this.” Can stomped his feet and puffed out his checks. Tin couldn’t help but laugh at his boyfriend's cuteness.
“How are you going to be a parent, when you still act like a kid?” he said moving forward to pinch Can’s cheeks “I will have two babies crying in the house,”
“It’s your fault, you won’t let me do anything.” Can, smiled, knowing that he loved the way Tin took care of him.
“Not my fault at all, it’s cause your my baby and that won’t change even with the baby around, I’ll still spoil you.”

“Do you think our parent's will be happy with the news?” Can asked as he laid his head on Tin’s chest. Tin knew what Can really wanted to ask is ‘if his mother would be disappointed with him being pregnant before finishing school and as much as Tin wanted to comfort him, the reality was no parent would be.
“I think that even if they are mad, they will come around. We will figure out a way of making them understand.”
