What am I even doing?
The question slipped in like a blade — clean, sharp, unavoidable. It didn’t wait for permission. It uncoiled like smoke, thick and toxic, clouding every thought, every breath. It wrapped around his ribs, squeezing until it hurt to stand.
They deserved better.He should be better. No matter what it cost.
Even if it meant breaking something in himself to get there.
