"I don't understand why you're so upset."
"Is that a serious statement? You tout your intelligence every chance you get and you're going to legitimately ask me that question? Everything you DO makes me upset. You realize that, right?"
"I hadn't, no."
"Stop being cheeky."
"I did you a favor."
"A favor...? A FAVOR?! Nicky could have died because of you! Our--MY body was paralyzed and put through the worst pain I've ever felt because of you! Because YOU did not want to reap what you'd sown. Just like always... You always chastise me for running away, but I never quite realized how much of a projection that was. Anytime things don't go your way, you think you can simply run away in here and let me take the blame. You've never been so wrong, have you?"
"I haven't been wrong once this entire time. Zyv escalated the first situation."
"And YOU escalated this one."
"Alright, call it an honest mistake."
"I didn't think the word was in your vocabulary. The word 'honest' doesn't belong anywhere near you."
"Oh, please. You not liking me is no legitimate reason to brush off everything I say as a lie. I have been honest with you since we've met. There have been plenty of truths spoken by my tongue."
"Majority rules."
"Hardly. I have been honest with you about those around you seeing you as a threat. I have been honest with Zyv. I would honestly love to poke around in that brain, see what makes them run..."
"Stop it."
"I've been honest with Corduroy. He has so much potential, magically and otherwise. Though... We both know what I'd really like to see them do. There are parts of them that I see in you. Is it so wrong to want to help him unlock that?"
"Yes! Yes, there is! You made Corduroy incredibly upset! You always do every time you speak to him! You think you're so high and mighty... That you're so much farther above them? You could never be half the person he is! He's already dealing with enough, he doesn't need you to further plague his thoughts! And the next time you speak about Zyv as nothing more than a science project, I will do to you what everyone else on this ship wants to do."
"You know that isn't possible."
"It's entirely possible."
"...You wouldn't have the nerve to follow through."
"Do you want to bet?"
"..."
"That's what I thought. Keep yourself in line. Or I will."
"Keep myself in line...? Do I need to remind you who's really in charge here?"
"I believe I just did to you."
"Ugh... And you dare to call ME self-righteous. It wouldn't be a noble sacrifice, getting rid of me once and for all. Frankly, I'm a bit insulted. Seen as nothing more than a monster... I helped you all. With Nicky and that parasite? I was helpful. I offered solutions while you hid away."
"I tried to come back but you wouldn't let me back in. You made Nicky more upset than I've ever seen him."
"A necessary yet unfortunate result of actually getting something done."
"It was NOT necessary. I never should have let Corduroy convince me to let you in."
"I thought you said he knew everything. I thought he was supposed to be so smart and clever. Far more than you... If I remember your words to me correctly."
"...I never said he knew everything."
"But you still think him smarter than you. More put-together."
"I did... But if you find him to be suitable prey, then... perhaps I've gone back to putting him on an impossible pedestal again. One that can never truly exist for one person alone."
"Tsk, tsk... So faithless in your friend."
"It's not an insult. I still think they're smarter than me but... I think he'd be... he'd be upset to hear me think him so much more put-together. Which is why I must take him off of that pedestal. Again."
"Again... Because you couldn't learn the first time. Clingy little thing... First, with her, then Corduroy and your fear of putting him on a pedestal he doesn't deserve, and now with the horrid beast who brought about the worst pain of your life."
"That's enough. I'm through with you. You've expended yourself enough, haven't you? Go to sleep or... wherever you go when you run out of energy. Leave me and my body in peace."
"Peace? Again with the impossible achievements."
"Not so impossible when I try."
"When you're stuck here on this boat out of your comfort zone, however..."
"Not entirely impossible. I... I've found it a few times. You're sick of me, I'm sick of you, all the more reason to leave. Me. ALONE."
"Very well... You have a point there. I concede. Try your hand at damage control once more, Bee... See how well that treats you this time around. I'll be here to laugh at the outcome."
"Oh, piss off, you cliche."
"Gladly."
