“I’ve told you three times I can’t stand the smell of your fucking tacos in the lift,” Louis barks out. “And now you’ve left your fuckin’ rubbish out in the hall. What the actual fuck is wrong with you, mate? The chute is right fuckin’ there for fuck’s sake!”
Louis is distantly aware he may be overreacting, but the simple truth is that he cannot be bothered in the least. Perhaps his neighbour doesn’t deserve to be on the receiving end of this misplaced anger. Perhaps Louis will find time later this week to give a shit.
“Are you just going to leave it there, then?” he asks, gesturing to the sack of rubbish by the door.
The neighbour looks down at it and back up to Louis, mouth slightly agape. The corners of his mouth turn down and he shrugs. Again.
“Pick it up.”
