The phone rings. Van crosses the small space with impressive speed before picking it up, speaking as soon as it hits their ear.
“Hi!”
Tai smiles to herself on the other end, endeared by their obvious excitement.
“Hey.”
They talk for a while, chatting about their day and sharing important new gossip, before Van sighs deeply.
"Fuck, I miss you."
The whine in their voice does... something to Tai, and she responds in a sickly sweet tone, low and sultry.
