    Buck didn’t think much before there were words tumbling out of his mouth, “Do you think Eddie would hold my hand?” Hen looks up, her chewing coming to an abrupt stop as she looks at Buck. She blinks. Chews some more. Swallows. Blinks again.

    “Your boyfriend Eddie?” She asks.

    “Yep,” Buck replies, popping the ‘p.’ “That’s the one.” Hen just stares at him.

    “You could ask him?” She suggests, setting her fork down carefully.

    Buck sighs, “I don’t want to ask him. I just…I want him to hold my hand.”
