"Apple Bomb! You can't go doing stupid stunts!" Dice snapped for the millionth time today. This was routine by this point.
Apple Bomb does stunts (usually with help from Mortar or Comic Book, and the ladder was his own bag of issues), Popcorn wanting to blast music at ungodly hours of the morning, Almond Milk and Lighter were constantly fighting, and Flora consistently almost put something on fire thanks to her blunt. So, that leaves Bookmark (bless her soul, she would in no way be able to handle the chaos) and Guitar Pick. Dice was, yes, very tired of this, but there was no way she was leaving this pile of chaos unattended and Bookmark and Guitar Pick would in no way be able to attend to this chaos.
What about the other team? Other than Iceberg Lettuce, none of them would be able to attend to this either. The thing about this chaos was that keeping them in line was about as hard as keeping 100 ducklings in a line. To put simply, Dice was probably the only person who would be able to keep this from destroying the hotel. If it was maybe the entirely (or most of) Team I, it would be easy, but Dice was not putting the entire other team on baby-sitting duty. And that's why Dice was withholding herself from sleeping too much and being a very tight leader.
"Ugh, fine!" Apple Bomb bit back, "I won't."
Bookmark walked up to Dice from behind, "Hey, Dice? Almond Milk and Lighter are arguing again."
"Thanks for letting me know," Dice sighed, walking away to deal with the argument.
As Dice walked to where Almond Milk and Lighter were, her mind started to wander. It was less so about the chaos of her team, and more so about her own well-being. She hadn't had a proper night of rest since... when? The average amount of time she slept per night was... uh... how many hours? Definitely not more than 4 hours. Yeah... wait. She didn't even know where Almond Milk and Lighter were. She was just walking in a random direction. Great. However, she could hear their faint yelling, and just followed the noise.
After 30 minutes of just walking back and forth across the hotel, Dice finally got a break. Sitting down at a table near Team I's poker games, she simply wanted to listen in. The few words, the small amount of shuffling of chips, the simplicity of lack of noise. It was... nice. And a lot more peaceful than what she was used to. Hopefully nothing would disturb her. Because this is just what she needed.
It was peaceful and perfect for 5 minutes until Cough Syrup came up. "Hey, you okay?"
"Ugh, just tired of my team," Dice spat out, annoyed from being bothered.
Cough Syrup hummed, "How much have you been sleeping?"
"Why is it your problem?" Dice bit back, trying to hide a yawn under her breath, "My team knows I'm here in case things go south."
Cough Syrup just looked at Dice, waiting for the ladder to cave. She eventually did, "...I dunno. Like... 4 hours? Per night?"
"You need a nap." Cough Syrup was blunt, "You aren't going to be able to handle that bundle of chaos on that amount of sleep."
"I've handled it well enough as of now," Dice explained.
"Exactly. As of now," Cough Syrup pointed out, "The longer you go the less you are going to be able to handle this."
Dice rolled her eyes, "I'm perfectly fine."
"Look, I'm sure my team would understand that one's well-being comes before duties in a team. Just... go get some rest, alright?" Cough Syrup urged.
"Fine," Dice muttered, getting up, "But if anything happens to someone on my team, it's your fault, okay?"
Cough Syrup nodded, "Alright."
Once Dice got to her room and laid in her bed, closing the blinds to make it darker, she figured it'd take a bit to fall asleep. However, it was almost instantly that she went out.
Now that it was dinner time and everyone was in the cafeteria, Team D realized something. Dice hadn't been seen since she left to go hang out with Team I (who were a lot more chill). Although most didn't care, and took this as an excuse to cause as MUCH chaos as possible, Bookmark and Guitar Pick were more concerned about Dice.
"Uh, do any of you know where Dice are?" Bookmark asked, concerned for the team leader.
"She needed some proper rest," Cough Syrup explained, "I told her Team I could handle things while she got what she needed."
Guitar Pick nodded, "I had a feeling she was stretching herself thin."
"Let's just let her rest," Bookmark pointed out.
The three of them agreed on that claim.
