Summary
Caught up in the beauty of his surroundings, Louis walks far further than he intended, and stops when he sees a lake ahead of him, gorgeously blue in the late afternoon sunlight. He resumes walking until he reaches the fringe of the forest, but stops again as he realises that there’s someone swimming. It becomes very clearly, very quickly that that someone is Lestat. And that she is completely naked.

Louis is hired as a private carer for Gabrielle de Lioncourt, who has terminal lung disease. While he cares for his silent patient, he becomes increasingly attracted to her beautiful daughter, Lestat, who wants Louis very badly. But Louis is trying to maintain his professionalism, and not get sucked into the whirlpool that is Lestat.
