"I'M SORRY I LOST YOUR MYTHOMAGIC CARDS!!"
With the winds howling outside and the news blaring about a Category four tornado headed your way, the last thing you want to hear is that your boyfriend lost something precious.
They were currently in the basement with the cellar doors rattling, surrounded by food due to Will's "Prepare for the apocalypse at all times" plan. It was stupid, but Nico couldn't argue since most of this came from Will's money, and he was happily eating pudding.
But he can argue about his cards.
"You did what?!" Will at least looked upset.
"I know I blamed the dog, but I thought it was my baseball cards that I wanted to show to Lee, but it wasn't, and I left it behind," Will explained. Nico was about to argue how he could leave it in Texas after all this time, but remembered what he did to Will's baseball cards.
"You're forgiven," Nico said quickly, which made Will suspicious.
"Nico, what did you do to my baseball cards?" Will asked, also feeling a bit peeved.
Well, Nico guessed it was time to be honest if they were about to be taken out by a tornado.
"I sold them," Nico confessed.
"What the fuck! Why did you do that?" Will shouted.
"Don't yell at me! We went to the pawn shop, and you told me to grab the cards in the bedroom, and I thought you meant those!" Nico yelled back.
"I meant the playing cards, not those!"
"Well, next time, say that!"
Will crossed his arms as Nico finished his pudding and was about to reach for another.
"Where are my playing cards?" Will asked, because if Nico sold his baseball cards, surely those were still here somewhere.
"Pawn those too." Nico answered, refusing to look at Will as he opened up his pudding. At least Will was thoughtful to stash Nico's favorite items too.
"You bitch."
"Fucker"
"Horn dog"
"Butt sniffer!" Nico shouted, now glaring at Will, who was returning the same anger. Then Will smirked.
"Now I don't feel bad for breaking your favorite mug," Will stated. Nico's eyes grew big.
"I thought we lost it when we moved?" Nico asked. Will shrugged. Technically, it was true. Will broke it at the last place they stayed when he was packing.
"Fuck you! Now I don't feel bad for breaking your guitar!" Nico spat. Technically, Nico was trying to learn how to play it so he could surprise Will on their anniversary, but the strings broke, and Nico had forgotten to get it fixed.
It was also left at the last place.
"You homosexual dickwad, you told me I left it in Texas!" Will shouted.
Not too far away, Percy and Leo were trying not to laugh too loudly. Also in the basement was Percy, Annabeth, Jason, and Leo. They were over earlier to hang out, but the threat of the tornado had them stuck with the arguing couple.
"You think everything is in Texas," Nico mumbled, but loud enough for Will to hear.
"I hope you go to hell and take all the fucks I have with you," Will declared.
"I hope you go to heaven and realize you are the only one there, you FOMO-ass, stupid bitch." Nico combated. Percy and Leo had to move further away to laugh. Jason looked worried, while Annabeth was impressed.
"Should we stop them?" Jason asked Annabeth, who just shook her head.
"Took them two hours in a cramped space and a threat of death for them to get sick of each other. This makes sense." Annabeth said, just keeping an eye on the news.
"I hope the tornado flings your short ass around like a ragged doll!"
"I hope you hit every tree and bird in the tornado on the way to the Wizard of Oz, you fucked up Dorothy."
Jason sighed. "And how are they married?" Annabeth chuckled.
"Married for six years, knew each other for ten years. At this point, I think this is foreplay." Annabeth responded. "But Nico definitely corrupted our sweet Will at some point."
Or maybe Will felt comfortable enough to cuss out Nico while Nico would see Will the same way.
It was cute... kinda.
Annabeth looked at the TV again, then turned it off.
"We're not going to get hit by the tornado. It changed paths." Annabeth announce. Nico and Will stopped mid-insult to look at Annabeth.
"Seriously?" Will asked. Nico cracked a smile.
"Yeah. We'll have strong wind and a couple storms, but nothing we can't handle." Annabeth confirm. Now a bit embarrassed, Will turned away. Nico got up and hugged Will from behind.
"Wanting the tornado to fling me around was rude," Nico said, laughing. Will shook with his own quiet laughter.
"Calling me a fucked up Dorothy almost got me," Will confessed, making Nico laugh harder. Will joined in, making Jason a bit concerned for them, but it didn't help that Leo and Percy were cracking up hard behind them.
"How are they married, again?" Jason asked. Annabeth shrugged as Will finally turned around, and the two said quiet apologies.
"I don't know."
