Summary
Yeonjun did not believe in fairytales.
Not truly.
He could enjoy the illusion, lose himself for two hours in a film where heartbreak was mended with a grand gesture, where words always landed right and love always won. But at the end of the day, when the credits rolled and the screen went dark, reality crept back in like smoke under a door.
It ended the same every time for him: the truth that was Soobin utterly despising him being plunged back into his mind without mercy.
Things didn’t work out. People didn’t fix things. And if they did, it wasn’t with a kiss in the rain. It was with apologies that came too late and silences that grew too loud to bear.
So when Taehyun approached him: calm, composed, always too reasonable– Yeonjun already knew what this was.
The mediator. The peacekeeper.
And Yeonjun? He was the villain this time.
