Notes:

*This A/N isn’t about the story. Skip right ahead if you wish. :)*
Hi! This is my first work, but I have been lurking around for a while now. Everyone who posts in this fandom gave me motivation to add my own. Special thanks to:
-GingerFlake, my favorite author personally
-Scarlett_Parker, who is a good author and always leaves comments everywhere
I am pretty adamant on staying on one WIP.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Accounts on the Mass Eruption on January 23, 2042

Account 59: Notes from Questioning of YellowStickFigure.exe

18/5/42

Account 59 is unique in that YellowStickFigure (or Yellow, as he prefers) remembers the eruption after copy reinsertion revival. The procedure is meant to only restore the changes in an individual made by memories, not the remembering of the memories themselves, of the stick.

On the day of the event, Yellow was in his house, scrolling through the lots of code he had made (it is important to note he was a computer programmer at the time), trying to find the nagging bug that would prevent his new app from even loading.

Ping. Yellow shook his head, but looked at the phone anyway. It was a text from Blue. The conversation went something along the lines of this:

“hey, can you come? the four of us are at a really fancy restaurant at stick city. we’re missing you :(“

Yellow sighed. Were they not bothersome enough already?

“im busy”

“you never go out with us anymore ever since you became a workaholic”

“shut up”

“i just thought the five of us could be together, it’s like you don’t exist anymore”

“like i said, i’m busy”

Then Yellow put his phone to silent and returned to his work. Blue probably texted something else, but Yellow had the work to do.

Whether or not he fixed the bug he didn’t know. According to Yellow, when the volcanoes erupted, the window exploded, sending shards of glass everywhere, which explained the bruises we found on his body.

And the last thing he saw out the window: fire, everywhere, across all of the cities—though do note that this is our only account that the eruptions were more than citywide.
