Under the moonlight.

Summary:

It was a chill summer night. Evbo and Seawatt sat on the porch, fingers intertwined, watching constellations scatter across the sky.

Beside them, two plates with breadcrumbs and half-full glasses of lemonade sat forgotten—remnants of dinner.

Evbo cherished nights like this, when they could forget about the usual everyday rush and just enjoy each other's company under the moonlight.

“Come dance with me,” Seawatt said suddenly. It was more like a statement than a question.

Work Text:

It was a chill summer night. Evbo and Seawatt sat on the porch, fingers intertwined, watching constellations scatter across the sky.

Beside them, two plates with breadcrumbs and half-full glasses of lemonade sat forgotten—remnants of dinner.

Evbo cherished nights like this, when they could forget about the usual everyday rush and just enjoy each other's company under the moonlight.

“Come dance with me,” Seawatt said suddenly. It was more like a statement than a question.

“What?” Evbo blinked, still scanning the stars for Ursa Minor. He must’ve misheard.

“Come dance with me,” Seawatt repeated, already standing, gently tugging Evbo up by the wrist.

Evbo’s hands instinctively rested on Seawatt’s shoulders, while Seawatt’s found his waist. The brunette began swaying them in a slow, steady rhythm.

Evbo wasn’t a good dancer so it was natural to miss a stepp here and there. While Seawatt let out a chuckle.

“There’s no music,” Evbo protested with a grin. “I need at least a beat to follow!”

“Don’t even say it,” Seawatt said with a dramatic glare. “I’m not bringing out the jukebox. It's way too heavy.”

“Fine,” Evbo said, eyes narrowing playfully. “But I’m not responsible for crushed toes.”

Seawatt paused, brows furrowed like he was genuinely weighing the jukebox idea. Then, with a sudden grin, he spun Evbo gently and began to sing their favorite song, his voice soft like velvet.

Evbo laughed, then joined in, their voices mingling under the stars. They movements complement each other.

Seawatt twirled Evbo one last time as the song came to an end.

Before either of them could say a word, Evbo leaned in and kissed him. "Thank you for the night."

"You are welcome." Seawatt said as he pulled Evbo into secound kiss.
