Summary
James Potter is entering his 6th year at Hogwarts Institute of Intelligence for the especially talented. As his worsening mental health threatens to show through his perfect exterior, he considers if this year won't be the perfect school year as he wanted. Except when he moves into his new dormitory and sees a tall, black haired boy in the window adjacent to his from the rival dormitory who threatens to uplift everything he has ever known.
Regulus Black finally convinced his controlling parents to let him attend Hogwarts Institute of Intelligence. He's been allowed to enter a year ahead of most kids his age meaning he'll be in 6th year, along with one of his best friends. Regulus hopes that this can be a new chapter in his life and a chance to escape his abusive family. All he has to do is keep his head down and study hard. The only thing he didn't consider? His older brother who abandoned him years ago being in the same year as well as being best friends with the boy across from Regulus' room.
