The lamb lost everything, their family, their herd and their life. when they are given a chance to take revange, they refuse? Well no problem narinder has a solution for that

(The idea for this story is that the lamb is forced to drink ichor so they do as narinder say due to being addicted. This cause God fever which has horrible symptoms)

Chapter 1 Genocide

“Brother Get up!”

Tired and rubbing my eyes I get up. Seeing Conman wide eyed and terrified.

“What's happening?”

“THE BISHOPS ARE COMING!”

“What do you mean, the bishops? They have no need to come here”

“WELL THEY ARE HERE AND THEY ARE KIL” They suddenly stop, a blade sticking out of their chest. They coughed up blood. The blade is pulled back out, they fall over…..dead. as my eyes widen I scream.

“NO CONMAN!”

I see his killer, a cultist standing with a blood soaked blade, ready to kill me the same way.

I grabbed the nearest thing and threw it at the cultists then immediately started running, seeing them get hit with and hoping that I could get away before they kill me too.

Even I as ran I heard them yelling so
something I couldn't understand.

“Keep running, don't stop, you can't let them get you, you can't let them do what they did to Conman. oh god Conman”

After I get far into the forest, far away from what happened out of exhaustion, I fall over and cry.

“They……they killed Conman, why
WHY?! What did we do for the bishops to target us?“

Pauses, and wipes away the tears.

“No this isn't the time to think about that, the bishops are after you and you need to calm down and survive”

I kept running, I knew these forests like the wool on my back. Hoping to find anything to shelter me. I heard cultists coming and quickly hid in the nearby bush. As they came closer I heard them speaking.

“Why did we have to go to find the stupid lamb?”

“You know why, the bishops want all the lambs dead”

“Yes but why do they even want the lambs gone? What did they do?”

“The lambs did nothing but there's a prophecy that a lamb will free him”

One of them Pauses before talking

“your joking right, there's no way anyone would free him, not even the heretical lambs would free that demon”

“The prophecy said a lamb would free the one who waits”

“ARE YOU A STUPID?!?! DO NOT SAY THAT NAME OUT LOUD!!!”

I hold my hands over my mouth as I see them stab the cultists who said the name.

“They would murder someone over that?”

The cultists were insane just like oma had said. I watch as they pass by hoping they do not notice me.

Only long after they left did I feel comfortable enough to move.

“So that was why they kill Conman. Killing everyone.
Because of a prophecy
If the bishops believed the prophecy that much. They wouldn't give up. I need to leave”

I kept walking for days eating nuts and berries I knew were safe. Hoping to find anything that could let me hide from the bishops but what could? The bishops were gods. Crowned being. What could I do to hide from the gods?

Eventually I see a farmhouse, small and well kept. This was obviously owned by a wealthy farmer.

“Maybe they will protect me safe……or they'll give me to the bishops
But this is my only chance”

I walk up to the door and knock.

“Hello? Anyone there? I need help please”

The door opened slightly. An eye looking at the creak.

“You're a sheep. The bishops want you dead. Why would I help you, I should give you to them for the reward if anything”

“Please don't give me to the bishops! I'll do anything!”

“Really and what can you do for me?”

“I um can well”

My brain was racing. I needed to convince them to take me in, I needed something. As I saw my overgrown wool I immediately knew.

“I'll give my wool! It's expensive so if I give you mine you can sell it!”

They ponder it for a moment.

“Ok I'll take you in”

They open the door. In the door stood a well dressed pig.

“Come in”

Chapter 2 betrayed

For days the pig would sear my wool and sell it on the market. On the 27th day they came to the barn where I was kept. This time they weren't alone.
As I saw the cultist come in. My face was raw with emotion and I screamed at the one who I trusted.

“You had promised to keep me hidden pig!”

“No I had kept you hidden because it made me money and these fine folks had offered more”

Before I could try to run, the cultist grabbed me, bound me in sacrificial chains and tied my hands together.

Chapter 3 the meeting

The chains they used to bind me were cold and rusty, a dark reminder of my fate
To be a sacrifice….like the rest. They pushed me to the altar and laid my head upon it.
I can't run anymore
I can't hide
I can't bribe them
Is this…..the end?

Behind the altar stood four beasts. Each of them was wearing black robes with gold. The first was a reddish frog, its throat was bandaged and bleeding. The 2nd was a blue squid, its ears were torn and wrapped. The 3rd was a green bushy worm. It wore a cloth around its head covering its eyes. The 4th and final was a purple spider with its head bandaged. the frog then spoke. Its voice was harsh but the words shook me as if the very fiber of my being was scared of them.

“Before us stands the last of its kind. All others have been hunted down and put to the blade”

The squid spoke next with the same force

“With this final sacrifice, the prophecy will be impossible to fulfil”

The bush worm replied with

“The heretic who lies bound below will be condemned to eternal captivity”

The spider then said

“And the old faith will be persevered”

The executioner lifted the axe and It all went black.

As I opened my eyes I was confused “this… this isn't heaven”
The pale colorless abyss stretched out before me “where? Where am I?!”

“Fear not little lamb”
A towering black cat stood before me, dressed in ornate silk. Large chains binding them. Their hands were rotting and bitten as if by a straving animal
“Come closer for though you are already dead I still have need of you the foolish bishops sought to keep you away from me but In death they sent you right to me”

I nervously backed away as I said “death as in… the one who waits?”

“Yes, little lamb I will give you life and you will start a cult in my name, kill the bishops and release me from these chains”

“Why would I do that? You're a monster, the devil!”
Even as I said the words I knew it was
a mistake.

They paused before speaking sounding disappoint I wasn't so easily convinced “I should have known this would be more difficult, if you were not my final chance I would not be so gracious
So I shall give you an incentive to do as I say”
Exposing one of their hands, skeletal and bleeding ichor. They then force my mouth open and let the ichor fall into my mouth, forcing me to drink their godly blood. The sickly sweetness is all consuming, Its taste was divine beyond anything I ever felt before. No, it was beyond anything I could feel before. Then suddenly the flow stopped and already I could feel the need for more.

“Now little lamb what do you say?
Will you take my deal?”

Chapter 4 god fever

I could feel the absence of the ichor already, the sweetness of it so strong it almost made me sick. The taste was godly. The need for it was overwhelming, like a part of my soul was missing but I won't become a cultist, i would be no better then them if I accepted

“No”

The black cat paused at my answer. Obviously he didn't think I would still refuse.

“You would still refuse me? No matter what, you will change your mind soon. Aym, Baal make sure our guest stays”

As he says this, two cats I didn't notice earlier grab me. One was wearing black garbs and the other was wearing white. In unison they say

“Yes master”

They bring me to a skull and chain me to it. For days they kept me chained, the hunger growing worse and worse. Hours later the white clothed one came back.

“Have you changed your mind?”

“No”

“You should, my master has been waiting for centuries and he is losing patience”

“What can he do? I am already dead”

“He can give you a fate worse than death, after all he only needs you to be well enough to bring him back”

“I doubt that he can do something worse than murder”

He looked at me with pity and worry

“I will come back. Hopefully you change your mind”

I don't know how long it was but every once in a long time they would come back and ask If I accept now, I kept refusing, the hunger was getting worse and worse. After the fifth visit, I could feel my body eating itself, my eyes stinking in, my skin sticking to my bones. It was like I have been starving for months. The next visit they said it has been a day and that it will only get worse from here, that I will have God fever. I don't know what God fever is but it doesn't sound good. Still I won't become a cultist

Days later I couldn't take it, the hunger, the pain, the need and the void in my chest. I needed more. I needed ichor.
I waited until the white clothed cat came back (later I learned they were called baal). And said the very word I never thought I would.

“Will you serve my master now?”

“Yes”

Baal brought me to him stilled chained and half dead from the God fever ironic considering where I was

“Master the lamb has agreed to serve you”

They smiled, the smile did not come from a place of kindness. The hunger in their eyes revealed that much

“You finally understand your place. Good little lamb, here is your reward”

After saying this they held their hand out letting the sweet ichor drip down.
I kept trying to drink all that I could, the taste was godly, unfathomable sweet but it wasn't like the first time. Somehow it felt hollow, empty, unfulfilling. I need more
But then suddenly it stopped. desperately I licked whatever I could from the ground like a starving pitiful puppy.

“Now now little lamb you will need to do what I want for more. I shall lend my crown to aid you in your life's purpose”

The crown upon their brow floated down to me, dawning the crow I fell.
I heard hundreds of voices screaming, crying and gasping. It was like I was hearing every dying thing's final moment. I reached out for the God who was supposed to be my savor
But then again they were death what did I expect for something so cold

“They won't stop! the voices! The voices!”

I curled up into a fetal position, crying and holding myself. I could hear little else but then that cold unforgiving voice spoke.

“you are weak if you weren't my last chance I'd find someone else”

hours later I became used to the voices. What was once a torrent of pain and suffering was now a dull ack.

“for your first task I will return you to the land of the living, start a cult in my name”

I feel myself fall into a pool of nothingness, a colorless void. Then I felt a bony hand larger than my entire body pushing me back up to the surface. When I wake up, I saw a rat wearing a paper crown holding a cane

“Vessel of the one who waits, I have been waiting for you”

“Who are you”

“It is not important as of the moment. Follow me”

I followed the rat. He was hiding something, he could not be trusted. I will not trust him. I know what happens when I trust someone. But what choice did I have? I was in enemy territory and everyone wanted me dead. After we got to an empty room he turned to me and said.

“My name is Ratua, I was the previous bearer of the red crown. I was sent to guide you out of these lands. If you look ahead you will see a poor soul about to be sacrificed. Rescue and indoctrinate them”

I looked and saw there was indeed a sacrifice. They were a cat with blue fur. They had 4 cultists around them. I could feel bloodlust from the crown. It needed a taste of blood, no I NEED IT.
The crown turned to a black formless goo then formed into a sword with a red eye in the hilt. I turned to the cultist, rage and blood lust in my eyes.
