Summary
Sixth year was awkward and difficult, and things seemed to only get worse after the party in Gryffindor's Common Room where Ron kissed Lavender. Ron absenting himself from their company, Hermione and Harry clung tighter to each other. From the common room and Hermione's bird attack to Slughorn's party, quite a bit happened between them.
“You’re pretty when you think, Hermione. Your eyes sort of glaze over a bit, and your lip moves, just like that. Your hair curls a bit more, like it’s magic.”
Harry tugged softly at one of Hermione’s bushy curls. He had never talked to her like this before. Her breath caught and her heart hammered madly in her chest, as if threatening to break free of it and run far away. ‘Love! I will hide me in the arbor!’ it sang.
