“Mama, I’m home.”
Her mothers face was older. The lines in her face were deeper but she still looked the same. The same but different. It made her heart pang in her chest. Her mothers mouth opened and closed for a moment before Mirabel continued.
“Um- this is Antonella, my-” She glanced at her, her mouth was dry.
“I’m Antonella Ma’am and this little one here is our darling Celeste, ma trésor.” Julieta looked confused for a moment before the gears in her head turned as Mirabel tilted the babe to her, who babbled upon seeing her.
