Chapter 1: The Prince and his Knight

You have to understand – all of them bear the marks of their lifestyle, night to night. Having a soulmate whose wounds you carry isn't as obvious when you are littered by scars anyway, when you can't keep track of where you got each one. So it is not that surprising that Dick didn't know, not until he felt like being ripped apart, the markings of a cowbar still aching on his body. And it is not that surprising that he didn't know not until his throat was torn, bleeding the light of a soulmate-bond onto his trembling hands.
