"As it happens, the Duke of the Northern Kingdom fancies men as well. Lucky us," His mother states in the same tone.
Daniel Howell is next in line to become King of the Southern Kingdom...and literally could not care less. In a perfect world, he wouldn't have to be a royal or worry about running a Kingdom, and could just be...free. So when he learns he is to be wed off to the Duke of the Northern Kingdom, he decides to take matters into his own hands to pursue his freedom. Little does he know...the Duke is thinking the same thing.
Philip Lester, Duke of the North, develops a plan to escape this marriage, starting by disguising himself, then darting into the wilderness.
So, when Dan bumps into a handsome blond stranger in the middle of the woods, he and said stranger soon realize that nothing will be the same again. In a world of gods, superstition, and vengeance, things are about to get pretty medieval. Is the pursuit of freedom even worth it? Will they make it out alive?
And can their true identities remain a secret forever...even from each other?
