Work Text:
Mikayla snatched the book Loki was reading out of his hands and he wanted it back, so he used her notebook as collateral, knowing how precious it was to her, as he saw her write in it everyday.
"If you don't give me back my book, I will start ripping your pages out one by one!" Loki threatened and grabbed her notebook.
"Wouldn't it be faster if you ripped them all at once?" Mikayla paused for a moment and then shook her head. "Wait, I'm arguing against my own interest."
"Three...two...one..." He held the notebook up and was about to rip it clean in half when she held her hands up and yelled.
"Fine! FINE!" She tossed his book on the couch. "There! Don't rip my notebook! I got stuff in there!"
"Ooh~ What stuff?" He interestedly flipped open one page and started reading. "'July 8th. I had a snack. It was a very good snack until Loki took it away from me.'" He held the notebook up high in the air and continued reading as she jumped and tried to reach it. "I remember that day, I do agree, that was a very good snack."
"Give it back!" He started shuffling backwards and reading as she chased him.
"'July 23rd. We went on a mission and I lost track of Loki because he was an idiot.' Aw, you actually care about me." He put his hand to his heart and she rolled her eyes.
"I'm going to strangle you."
"Can you even reach my neck?" They went in a circle from the living room, to the kitchen, then back. He fell back against the couch and since she was so close, she fell with him. "If only we were under different circumstances..." he murmured.
"Different circumstances?" Mikayla thought to herself and gasped. "Oh! Gross! Loki, Come on, seriously!?" She got up and yanked her notebook out of his hands.
"'Gross?' I find that insulting." He sat up and looked up at her with a smirk.
"Good." She narrowed her eyes at him and left the room, using the back of her hands to cool down her severely heated cheeks.
