Shi Qingxuan quietly sprinted down the dark hall, laser gun in hand.
She had come here with Xie Lian, He Xuan, and Hua Cheng as a ‘double date’, as Xie Lian put it.
They were playing laser tag, each one of them on their own team.
Technically, she and He Xuan were not dating, but she supposed that the misconception was fine since they were going to go out for dinner after.
She heard a slight jingle behind her, and then she was tagged out.
“Hua Cheng!” She complained. “My score is going to be below He Xiong's now!”
Hua Cheng shrugged. “As long as gege wins. Laser tag is unforgiving.”
She watched helplessly as the man walked off, before turning around and clicking her tongue.
“Honestly.” She muttered.
She peered through a small window with her back pressed against the wall, scanning for someone to hit.
Granted, the only possible targets were He Xuan and Hua Cheng, since the latter would murder her for 'daring to land a hit on his gege.'
She caught movement out of the corner of her eye, and turned around with her finger on the trigger.
And then she froze.
She dropped her laser gun, feeling the part that connected it to her vest tug harshly because of the weight.
Someone was kissing her.
She felt her face heat up and she roughly pushed the person away.
And then she froze. Again.
He Xuan was the one who kissed her.
“Ahahhhaaa, He Xiong, what are you doing, ahahaha, we're supposed to be playing the game.” she laughed nervously, looking anywhere except for his face.
His wonderfully handsome, expressionless face.
“I am playing the game.” He Xuan replied. “I had to distract you somehow.”
Then he shot her.
Her jaw dropped. “He Xiong!”
He Xuan shrugged before walking away.
As soon as he was out of sight, she giggled quietly to herself, jumping up and down in a circle.
Then she fell down because the laser gun got caught between her legs.
She heard footsteps hurrying her way, and she tilted her head back to see Xie Lian rushing towards her.
“Qingxuan, are you alright?” He quickly asked, kneeling down next to her. Hua Cheng wasn't with him, so he was presumably off hunting He Xuan.
“I think I'm in love.” She replied.
Xie Lian laughed. “I know that feeling.”
“A Lian, I'm going to implode.”
“What did He Xuan do?”
“He kissed me.”
Xie Lian imperceptibly smiled. “Oh, he did?”
Shi Qingxuan nodded fiercely. “Yeah. On the lips.”
Xie Lian patted her shoulder. “I will be at your wedding.”
Then he shot her with his laser gun as well.
“Was this a plan?!” She cried out, scrambling up and fumbling for her laser gun as Xie Lian laughed. “I'm one hundred percent going to lose to He Xuan now!”
Xie Lian shrugged, dodging behind a wall right as her laser gun repowered after being tagged.
She grumbled and then ran after him, resolving herself to get them all back.
