Chapter 1: Am I really okay with this?

Chapter Text

Agowilt, despair, fear, and horror. This world will never be the same. Heretofore, a catastrophe took place where aliens invaded this world. Humans were forced and kept as pets, serving these foul, unhuman-like creatures. All of mankind was doomed to never live normally again. Humans started to create organizations to try and overpower these invasive creatures, to make this world finally conclude back to normal. Although, humans were left to be uneducated since the aliens destroyed all schools and any sort of education. Therefore, they were left to experiment and create their own things, with a lack of education, to try and come up with a cure to getting rid of these aliens once and for all.

They tried everything, making weapons, capture devices, and potions. The weapons and capture devices never worked so, they were left to rely on the potions. However, it did not take a good turn. Somehow, they managed to make some kind of poison that would lead to infecting everything. I mean everything. Since humans had such a lack of education, because of the aliens getting rid of their proper education providers, they had no idea what they were doing and were just going off of stuff they already knew, and mixing random chemicals. They were desperate. They weren’t careful enough which led to them mixing too much random chemicals and creating some kind of virus.

At first, the humans managed to use the potion to get rid of all of the aliens, but it was far too powerful than they thought it was. Humans started to get infected with this disease as well which caused them to go feral and lose their minds. I mean like, lose, lose, their minds. They would attack everything, become nonverbal, their eyes went completely white, their limbs twisted, etc, etc.

If god is real, then why is this happening? The air is polluted and the sky is fading off into a gloomy, defiling dark red-ish color. One step outside and you would instantly be hit with a wave of sorrow and mournfulness. The amount of rot, the disgusting scent of blood and the malodorous, distinctive, smell of it all combined.

If you hold your hand out in front of you, you probably wouldn’t be able to see it because of the thick smoke-like fog outstretching into every single crack and crevice. One wrong move and you’re done for. The creatures, the infected, are hiding in the shadows. Waiting to attack and destroy all living things in their range of sight.

Feeling emotions is far too dangerous to experience, in this situation. Any sense of vulnerability and suddenly, you’d be overcome with anguishing despair. The need to cry could be given into at any moment, and if it is, the infected would attack. Once they get their first hit on you, there's no going back. They can claw into your stomach, applying so much pressure to the point they would start to rip out all of your insides. Even if you manage to escape, there's no use if they’ve already got their first hit on you. You’d probably just puke out your guts due to the infecteds touch.

This world is never going to be the same. But, there's a specific organization group that is working against that.

“Till.”

...

“Till! Wake your lazy ass up already!”

Till groggily opened his eyes just to be met with a strong looking, tan, brown haired woman, leaning above him staring into his eyes. The girl's name was…

“Jeez, Hyuna! I’m up.” Till lifted his leg and reclined it back, using force to push the brown haired woman, Hyuna, away. Hyuna only stumbled back a bit and then sarcastically flipped her hair, putting her hands onto her waist. TIll used his hands to lift himself up. He opened his mouth to say a snarky remark but his eyes traveled and his gaze landed onto another woman who had long, pink, flowy, hair. One-fourth of her hair faded into a dark-ish light blue color at the end tips of her hair. Till’s eyes locked with her beautiful, crystal like yellow eyes, for a moment. He quickly looked away, a faint tint of pink appearing on his cheeks.

“O-oh. Good Morning, Mizi.” He spoke, having a bit of a voice crack at the beginning of his sentence. Till propped himself up onto his elbows and glanced around the room. Hyuna, Mizi, and one other person were in the room with him. That other person was a boy with black hair and black eyes. His name was-

“Ivan.” TIll spoke, and rolled his eyes mumbling under his breath. He stood up and crossed his arms. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. TIll isn’t very fond of Ivan, and he never will be. Although, he has no choice but to work with him since there aren't many people in this organization group. In-fact, it’s just the four of them. There used to be two other people in this group, a lady named Sua, and a boy named Luka. Sua had died due to sacrificing herself for Mizi. ‘How did that happen?’ You may ask. Well, all of them were on a mission to grab more supplies such as more chemicals and necessities. The infected had followed them there and Sua sacrificed herself for Mizi by jumping in front of her, so she would die instead.

Luka had died due to him already having an illness and the pollution in the air causing it to be worse, and then him slowly dying.

“Do I really have to work with this guy?” Till commented to Hyuna, who was incharge of this whole mission.

“Yes, yes you do. And matter of fact, I’m going to make you two work together.”

“WHAT?!” Till exclaimed, his eyes widening. There was no way he was going to work with someone like Ivan. He literally hates his guts. He’s practically fuming with anger now.

“You two need to get your relationship better anyways. I’m not having two people who argue all the time on this mission and mess things up.” Hyuna’s gaze landed between Till and Ivan, and narrowed her eyes. “Or, possibly get themselves killed.”

“End of discussion. You two are working together whether you like it, or not,” She said sternly and walked off, but before she left the room she stopped and turned around once more. “I expect you two to get along.” She then left the room.

Till was about to say something but he stopped and huffed, pinching the bridge of his nose and then glancing over at Ivan, who was standing there not even showing emotion like always. This is just pissing him off even more. He was about to say something to Ivan until Mizi spoke up, “Till, I think it's best you work with Ivan on this. Besides, it hurts me to see how much you hate him. So, do it for me. Okay?” She weakly held up a soft smile on her face, looking at TIll and then giving him a soft nod before she left the room as well.

Till thought to himself, repeating her words in his head. “So, do it for me. Okay?” After thinking for a while he decided that he would have to put up with Ivan for a week, only a week. And then after they’re done with this mission, he can go back to never speaking to Ivan again. Great!
