Work Text:
Casey Jones, James Dean
and this Truck Driver
all have something in common.
They all died similarly
The main difference being that the Truck Driver
Wasn't driving recklessly, and
His name would never be put into a song
He died alone, scared and in pain
Fearing what would happen
Dying to stop the train,
He didn't even have time to consider
Jumping out to save himself,
Crumpled and lonely, no flowers on his grave
And the house he smashed into
Would be rebuilt just the same,
Just as quick
As his corpse caved it in.
