    Summary

    “We hope that you choke.”

In a world unraveling at the seams, death is no stranger to Elise Wilder. Before the fall, she was a mortician—quiet, meticulous, a woman who made peace with the dead long before the living. After the outbreak, her skills make her useful… if not exactly welcome. Her calm precision and unsettling familiarity with the dead make her valuable—but not exactly trusted, especially not by Daryl Dixon.

Struggling to adjust to this new world, even though by all accounts, she should be the one most comfortable in this new reality, how can she be anything but terrified? It also doesn't help that Daryl Dixon won't ever give her a moment of peace and is skeptical of every single thing she does.

This fic is based around "Exit Music (for a film)" by Radiohead. :)
