Rick crouched down, the leather of his duty belt creaking softly in the silence of the inner circle. To anyone else - to Shane, currently pacing the perimeter like a caged tiger, or to the young EMT who had turned green and retreated to the ambulance - this was a tragedy. A senseless act of violence.
To Rick, it was quiet.
He studied the wound. It was a single, devastating laceration across the throat, deep enough to sever the artery but controlled enough to avoid the messy, hacking desperation of an amateur. There were no hesitation marks. No defensive wounds on her hands, which lay palms-up and open, as if in supplication. She hadn't fought. She hadn't even had time to scream.

Summary
'What if' things were different for the survivors of Rick's group? Combining aspects from both the Tv and comic series as well as my own ideas, this story will reaccout the events from The Walking Dead, giving some characters more time to develop or even meet an untimely demise.
Nobody is safe. Nobody has ‘main character armour’. Everybody has an equal chance of dying. Each season will allow different characters to have the spotlight, rather than it being the Rick show.
The overall plot will mostly stay the same in the beginning until the characters are established. However, long term i have ideas on making much bigger changes.

Summary

Summary
Like in those old fashioned novels, you control the story and it’s characters. This means the story will have with hundreds of routes, an in-depth relationship system and many cross paths. I will go more into detail on the intro page of the fanfic.
This fanfic takes place in the TV universe of TWD, but may have a few comic/video game character cameos. Most of the story will stay on the canon progression path, but may sometimes veer off of it. I will try to make the story as expansive as possible!
Lastly, this is a work in progress. This could take a long time to finish, so bear with me! Feedback and suggestions are appreciated!

After the outbreak, her skills make her useful… if not exactly welcome. Her calm precision and unsettling familiarity with the dead make her valuable—but not exactly trusted, especially not by Daryl Dixon.
Struggling to adjust to this new world, even though by all accounts, she should be the one most comfortable in this new reality, how can she be anything but terrified? It also doesn't help that Daryl Dixon won't ever give her a moment of peace and is skeptical of every single thing she does.
This fic is based around "Exit Music (for a film)" by Radiohead. :)
