Summary
The second the van is shifted into park in the hotel lot, Kafka wastes a grand total of zero seconds before he’s trying to quickly usher everyone out to get checked in.
Kaede attempts to turn around and follow the rest of them out too, but before he can even push himself entirely out of his seat, Kafka has his hand on his shoulder and is pushing him back into sitting down. The smile he flashes is polite – but the way he’s narrowing his eyes makes it clear that there’s something else he wants to say that he’s not making entirely clear.
“Except for you, Chief-chan. Stay back. I have something we need to discuss.”
