Chapter Text
Hitler stared into the trashcan bonfire he had started. Despite its comforting warmth, the bonfire couldn't do much for the cold of his heart. He couldn't really tell how he felt. Sadness, anger, disappointment. Fear, perhaps? Hitler was just..cold. And it had nothing to do with the bitter and merciless chill of winter in Bikini Bottom.
Back in the universe he called home (Although, Hitler didn't really know what 'home' was anymore), what you could call the 'real world', there was nought but shame awaiting him. It's not like he could go back, anyways. Even if it was what he desired most. Every Universe Travelling Machine (UTM) was destroyed in the Bikini Bottom Brawl. He didn't even know where his friends were, if they were even alive.
Hitler lost his train of thought when a warm, salty droplet of water trickled down his rosy cheeks, followed by another. And another. And more came relentlessly afterward, his eyes widening slightly. Hitler gently placed his hand on his eye. He was crying. Although he couldn't pinpoint why.
Art school. To walk the halls of an esteemed establishment, filled with kindred spirits, all sharing a passion for the beauty of artistic creation and expression, in all its forms. To Hitler, that was all that mattered. He'd get accepted, then he'd prove everyone wrong. He'd show them that rule 34 is still art, and that his was just as valuable as some of the pieces from the greatest artists the multiverse had to offer. But really..Hitler knew deep down that his dream was unattainable.
No.. if that was true, why did he let himself sacrifice everything for it? By the time he had submitted his application he had nothing left. Even if he gave up on his dream, Hitler had no choice but to continue.
Hitler briefly shut his eyes, letting out an exasperated sigh. He slowly turned his head towards the entrance to the alleyway, quiet footsteps catching his attention, followed by a giddy, high- pitched voice he was certain he (or anyone for that matter) would never have the misfortune of hearing again.
"You're seriously giving up, Hitler? It's unlike you."
Hitler's eyes widened in pure horror at the person standing before him, his draw dropping and breath hitching.
"Spongebob..? No..it can't be! Sonic, Cartman and the others surely defeated you in the Bikini Bottom Brawl! I saw the corpse for myself! You should be dead!" Hitler exclaimed, a nervous sweat trickling down his face.
Spongebob took a few more steps forward, Hitler backing up in response.
"You're forgetting what William Afton was capable of. How else do you think he always comes back?" A smirk grew on the yellow sponge's face, as he continued,"But that's not what i came here to discuss. I want to give you a second chance, Hitler. Join me, and that art school admission will be yours."
Hitler wasn't falling for it. Not after what he did to Eric Cartman, who almost died to protect him during the Bikini bottom Brawl, in which many of his allies were massacred.
"N-No way! I'll never join you! You killed my friends! You even betrayed plankton, even after he swore to give up on the krabby patty secret formula.. you're a cruel man, Spongebob. And nothing will ever change that."
Spongebob's smile faltered, then replaced by a deadly glare.
"I see. So you've chosen your fate. It's a shame, really. You have so much artistic potential, honestly. What a waste."
The sponge whipped out a Glock 19, aiming at Hitler's head as he slowly walked closer, leaving the aspiring artist shaking and helpless.
"Goodbye, Hitler. Don't worry about those friends of yours. I'll be dealing with them shortly."
Spongebob pulled the trigger, but Hitler managed to move his head out of the way, however getting shot in the arm instead.
"Sh-shit.." Hitler coughed up some blood onto the cold stone floor, trying his best to stay conscious. "You won't get away with this.. I won't let you."
The psychotic sponge laughed hysterically, before saying,
"And what exactly do you plan on doing? You and your allies have all returned to their universes, without any way to return. You're alone, Hitler. Just give up already."
Just as Hitler was about to accept his fate, a skull-like entity appeared out of nowhere and opened its jaws, releasing a bright blue blast, which Spongebob barely dodged.
An unforgettable skeleton in a hoodie and pink slippers then emerged from the behind Hitler, previously hidden in the darkness of the alleyway.
"Sorry, pal, but I can't let you do that."
His left eye (socket since he's a skeleton i guess??) lit up blue.
"You're gonna have a bad time"
