    TA 2802.
    Three years after the battle of Azanulbizar, the Longbeard Dwarves, led by King Thráin have begun to settle in Ered Luin. Their welcome is weary, and hopeless, for the wounds left by war are deep. The Blue Mountains are poor, the mines unsafe, and their territories raided by Men.
    So when it falls to Jóli son of Jónar, to show newly-arrived Thorin around the mines to investigate the cause of the many caves-ins, he is less than happy – even though Thorin’s sister Dís is a sight to behold.
    But when a new cave-in traps him with an injured Thorin deep within one of the Mountains, Jóli’s distrust slowly crumbles. For there are deep scars and a heavy burden in Thorin he thought to be just a Princeling – but also courage, strength and a vision for Jóli’s Mountains.
    A vision Jóli could follow – provided he gets them both out of there.
