Hermione never thought about working for DMLE.
Definitely not after Second Wizarding War happened. She want a simply life, with her muggles parents out of all witchcraft and wizarding things.
But that was taken form her.
Shortly after war ended, she tried to find Richard and Jean Granger in Australia, who were supposed to be living their best life there. She was searching for them about a month, when small Australian auror team found her’s mother body. Investigation of her mother suddenly death and search for her dad, who’s still missing take long two years, without any results.
To make matters worse her boyfriend Ronald Weasley was caught having an affair with his secretary from Department of Magical Games and Sports – Lavender Brown.
With broken heart and lot of free time, Hermione began helping Harry in Department od Magical Law Enforce, and after twelve years she became the best of the best aurors Ministry of Magic has. She was after all the brightest witch of her age.
Without even realizing it, she ended up with a cozy office and a small team of trainees. And despite everything, she was content.
“Letter for you.” said a blond-haired man as he walked into her office without knocking.
There was only one thing she couldn’t stand about this job. Her childhood nemesis — and now her close partner in crime — Draco Malfoy.
A royal pain in the ass...
