It was a gloomy morning in hometown. Kris and Susie were telling stories to one another and sharing their interests. Berdly runs up to them.
“Ah, hello there Kris and Susan.”
“Hey Berdly. Why are you here? You work at the library.” Asked Susie
“Unfortunately the library is closed for today. I wanted to ask what you and Kris were doing.”
“Oh? me and Kris? We’re touring the town. They let me stay at their house.”
“Hmm… Interesting… May I tag along?”
Susie thought to herself. She didn't know if Kris would approve or not. They both managed to tolerate Berdly ever since they went to the Cyber World.
“Kris, how do you feel about Berdly hanging out with us?”
Kris stared at the both of them. They take a bit to respond.
“I’m fine with that.”
Berdly smiles as he goes behind Susie.
They all proceed to walk downtown and head to QC’s diner.
It was relatively busy, having 4 customers inside. QC herself and the lion were working, but not Catti. The trio talks to QC.
“Hi, how can I help you guys?” She asks.
“We would like to take a seat. 3 menus for each of us.” Said Kris with formality.
“Alright, 3 menus.” QC hands out well, 3 menus. Kris gives out the other two to Susie and Berdly. They all sit down.
“So, what did you guys do last night?” Questioned Berdly.
“Well, me and Kris were watching TV. Toriel helped me make a pie.” Continued Susie, “Her tires were slashed, and she called the police over it.”
“Huh, that explains why I heard sirens.” Berdly says, “What else happened?”
Susie froze for a moment. She couldn't tell Berdly the rest of the story as he would not only be confused, but also be curious what he actually went through in the computer lab.
“What were you doing last night?” Asked Susie.
Berdly gets surprised by Susie’s response. He speaks up.
“I took a quiz since my older sister told me to take it. It asked me questions like my age, where I’m from, how much strength I have, though there were a lot of questions related to–” Berdly stops as he realizes what he's done.
“I ACCIDENTALLY SIGNED UP FOR THE MILITARY.”
Susie looks at him, completely dumbfounded.
“How did you ‘accidently’ sign up!?”
“the website was full screen! I didn't think too much about it and turned off my computer!!!”
“Um… May I take your order…?” The lion waitress asked.
Everybody stays silent for a bit, until they say what they want.
“Uh… I’d like water.” Said Susie.
“Water.” Said Kris.
“Yeah, water.” Added Berdly.
“Alright, what about food.”
“We… Haven't thought about that…” Responded Kris.
“Don't worry—I’ll get your drinks while you guys think about your meals!” The waitress leaves.
Susie grabs Berdly by the hands and whispers to him.
“We gotta talk about this dude, after we get our orders.”
