Her tone made Odysseus shudder, memories of his patroness’ myths charging through his mind– chiefly that of Arachne, followed by broader myths like Heracles, Jason, Orpheus. The gods were dangerous, even to those who earned their love. Still, he managed a nod.
“Thank you, Lady Athena. For your faith and your gift.”OR-- Athena gives a thirteen year old Odysseus wings. In typical mythological fashion, it's not pretty.
