11:46pm..
The night before the first day back at school, Nathaniel had been prepping his outfit that he’s going to wear during the whole year making sure it was perfect he layed down his new overalls on the ironing board and pluged in his iron. He was hoping that this school year would move smoothly unlike last year which indeed was total chaos he didn’t even want to remember what had happened.
"Why are you doing Nate?" Ziggy flies by the artist curious to what he's doing and sits on top of his head watching from above
"Oh I'm just ironing my clothes for tomorrow, this holiday went by so fast i really don’t want to go back.. I still haven’t recovered from the amount of crazy stuff that had happened near the end of the year" the short boy sighs as he places his Magma shirt onto the ironing board to iron it.
"But at least I get to see my beautiful boyfriend” the redhead sighs dreamily at the thought of seeing his boyfriend after a long time they hadn't been able to spend time together due to them living far away from each other.
"You mean Marc right?"
"Mhm!" The artist unplug his iron and throws his shirt onto the table beside his bed not even bothering to fold it neatly he's way too busy thinking about the boy after all. He lays down on his bed feeling excited yet nervous for school with many thoughts racing through his head.
"I wish I could tell him about you.. but I cant" the boy frowns as he pets his kwami while still thinking about the tall writer.
"I know but you have to for safety I cant imagine how upsetting it is having to keep me a secret from Marc.”
"I know I know… I just hate having to hide the fact I’m caprikid from himmm..” The redhead raises his head up to see his kwami with a gloomy face so he cups her into his hands.
"It's okay ziggy your just looking out for me and i really appreciate it don't worry ill be careful out there i wouldnt want to lose you" The goat kwami smiles at her holder and flies to his cheek nuzzling against it.
"You should get to sleep its almost midnight you don’t wanna end up going to school tomorrow looking tired.. especially on the first day" Nathaniel checks the time on his phone and realises his kwami is right he quickly puts on his alarm and switches his phone off placing his phone on the nightstand.
"Oh yeah I really should i don't wanna go to school looking sleep deprived like I did almost every day last year.” the artist begins to pull the covers over him and ziggy flies to the top of her holder's pillow laying down on it.
"Goodnight ziggy."
The kwami smiles at his holder before slowly drifting off to sleep.
"Goodnight Nathaniel."
6:30am...
In Marcs bathroom he begins to set up his makeup palette and lipstick on his sink while his kwami orikko sits there nibbling on a piece of bagel he looks up at his holder with curiosity he’s not really familiar with makeup and other stuff.
"Is it really necessary to wake up an hour early just to put on your makeup..?" The kwami questions as he continues eating the bagel his holder gave him from the left over breakfast he saved without Marc’s parents from noticing anything.
"Absolutely! I don't want to do my makeup last minute, this year I'm going to do eyeshadow since no one judged me wearing lipstick last year so why not also wear some eyeshadow" the ravenette finishes applying his eye makeup on his left eye and moves onto his right eye the rooster kwami sighs and decides to fly around the bathroom exploring it scanning through the the bottles which were kept in the shower
"Gosh how many bottles do you have?"
"A lot. They have different uses silly that's why.. anyways I’m done with my makeup could you get my setting spray please?"The kwami nods his head and flies over to the vanity in Marc's room which is flooded with several makeup products and a staggering amount of perfumes organised in the colours of the rainbow (he refuses to smell bad) Eventually he locates the spray and carries it back to the bathroom placing it on the writer's bathroom sink.
"I don't understand why your doing your makeup in the bathroom when you have a massive vanity sitting in your room.." the kwami grunts making the ravenette giggle.
"I'll get too distracted that's why and I'll end up struggling to pick what I wanna do first and since im going school im gonna end up taking my sweet time and then ill be late."
"Well it feels likes your getting ready to walk on the runway instead of going to school."
"Well i guess I'm treating the school corridors as the runway if you put it that way" Orikko sighs and looks at Marc noticing that he's now on his phone except hes looking at in with an adoring expression leaving the kwami curious.
"I'm assuming that you found a new eyeshadow palette right..?"
"No even better!" the kwami flies over to the holder's shoulder taking a look of the picture of Nathaniel.
"What in the word is he wearing? That blazer of his looks hideous!" The kwami cringes and flies off sitting on top of the bathroom mirror.
'Orikko that's not nice!" Marc looks at his kwami and then back at his phone realising that hes damn right about his boyfriends blazer "Okay maybe your right.. but i hope he gets out of it this year I don’t know how he doesn't sweat in it though.."
"Im sure he'll get rid of it after all you switched out your hoodie with a leather jacket!"
"I know and I love it! It feels like I can actually express myself more instead of hiding in my hood all the time" Marc's gaze still fixates on the picture of the redhead admiring his cute face.
"Nathaniel is so adorable!!! I just wanna squish him to bits!!" The ravenette giggles leaving his kwami concerned wondering if he’s gonna end up murdering him or something.
"Okay Marc I think you should get going now.." he mutters in attempt to snap his holder back into reality.
"Oh yes your right! hide orikko" Marc opens the pocket of his red leather jacket letting the kwami enter inside before closing it he then grabs his keys and leaves the house feeling excitied to see his friends again after a long holiday especially his favourite redhead.
7:16am..
Nathaniels pov
While walking to school I open the pocket of my overalls to check on ziggy making sure that's she's not going to suffocate or anything she looks up at me smiling.
"Are we there yet?"
"Nearly I'm just 5 minutes away, I just hope this school year is better then last year it was a mess! there was too much going on not to mention I was sat next to a girl called lila who lied for her own enjoyment and completely turned everyone against marinette cause she could see through her lies."
"That sounds terrible! Did lila do anything else to you?"
"No thank god.. although I could sense something was off with her ever since she was on 'holiday' turns out she was at home all day i honestly wonder if her mum even questioned her" Sometimes I even wonder how she got away with not attending school for almost half of the year.. until she was caught.
"Did anything else happen? It looks like you have something on your mind"
"Well.. its just that I remembered the time when my crush on marinette was outed by that horrible Chlóe bourgeois on a random physics lesson I was sent to the office. And in result I got akumatized and almost killed her!"
"Your telling me that you nearly killed her?" Ziggy gasped looking at me with utter shock
"Yep.. after the whole thing was over she did not dare to try talk to me or even make fun out of me for a solid 2 weeks.." But honestly who can blame her I would’ve done the same thing if an akumatized person almost killed me!
“Seems like you left quite an impression on that Chloe girl.. even though that only lasted for a while”
”Oh definitely..” I look up and notice that ive made it to school I could see several people reuniting with their friends along with new pupils attending College Françoise Dupont it also looked like the school had changed as well i found out that there are new classrooms which weren’t there before I just wished that Alix was here I honestly miss hanging out with her ever since she had been entrusted with the rabbit miraculous by ladybug she hasn’t returned to the present.
or so I thought..
”I’m gonna go inside and see what has changed, hide Ziggy” my kwami then goes back into hiding i just hope she’s not gonna get squished or something but anyway. I step foot into school grounds and begin to walk around the place exploring how the interior of the school had changed it had looked much more lively and beautiful! There was even a built in fountain which was located in the centre of the school there were also loads plants that had been placed around the school the classrooms had been well decorated they looked stunning and flawless. Butt soon enough I ended up getting distracted by the exterior and bumped into someone on accident
”Oh my god, I am so sorry-“ when I looked down I realised who it was
”Hey Nate long time no see.” It was Alix, my best friend what was she doing here? She still looked the same from last year her spiky bob cut with small ponytails along with her black cap still remained
“Alix? What? I thought-“
”Shhh yes I know I’ll get to that later, now come with me” the pinkette stands up and offers me her hand and I take it she runs to the Art room and closes the door making sure that no one would hear our conversation
”Okay now you can ask your question even though I already know what your gonna say Caprikid.” She lets go of my hand and begins to examine the art room my eyes widen as she casually exposes my secret identity
”What the- how do you know? And why are you here? I thought you were supposed to be guarding time and what not also why the hell are you still wearing the same clothes?” I look at her waiting for the answer and she looks back at me and just laughs why in the world is she laughing at me for?
”Oh silly Nate, I’m here because I can return to the present since you know.. Monarch is defeated and stuff I don’t need to go back to hiding until I’m told to by Ladybug, So now Im free i can finally go to school and see you and the others again! And for your last question ive only just came out of hiding idiot. Be grateful I decided to look for you first.. although I already knew where you were anyway” I mean at least she’s right, i missed her a lot I haven’t been able to talk to anyone else except marc for nearly the whole year even though Alix is kind of a pain in the ass being in school without her was boring.
"Okay yeah fair, but how do you know I'm capri-"
"You dumbass i can watch everything from the burrow I know everyone's secret identity duhh" Right.. I completely forgot about that.
”At least your here I hate to admit it but I missed you like a lot having to sit next to Rossi was weird.”
”God I know how you felt but hey! at least we found out she was a liar, poor Marinette was the only one who saw though he lying ass and we all turned against her and somehow Adrien out of all people, Could also see through her lies.. surprisingly” I let out a little giggle from that.
”I honestly wonder how Adrien could see through her lies but couldn’t recognise that Marinette had feelings for him like how does that even work??”
”Right?? But anyways I need to get going-“ Right before Alix could leave I interrupted her.
”Wait! Have you seen Marc anywhere? Ive been waiting for him until you came out of nowhere” The pinkette smirks and turned back around.
”Of course you wanted to ask that.”
“Just tell me where he is pinky pie.” Alix rolled her eyes while still having that stupid smirk on her face.
”He’s at the Fountain with Zoe now go get your man"
”Thanks”
”Your welcome you tomato head” And from there Alix leaves the Art room leaving me there alone then Ziggy looks up at me from my pockets
"At least you now know where your boyfriend is"
"I know I'm just happy that Alix is here and yeah time to go looking for Marc!"
Ziggy smiled and hid back into my pocket as I exited the art room
I finally knew where Marc was
