"Hey, Pep, can we take a break?" Chai spoke up.
"Do you mind if we just finish going through production?" Peppermint asked, checking her map. "We've only been at it for forty five minutes and we've got a lot of stuff to get through today."
"I… don't think I can wait?"
The tone of his voice shot a spike of concern through her chest. She turned around. Now that she was actually looking at him she could see that he was rather green around the gills.
"What's going on?" She sounded more demanding than she meant to be.
"I need to lay down."
Chai had barely finished the sentence before he started tipping forward.
Or; how Peppermint learns about Chai's heart issues, and how she helps him deal with them.

Chai took it from her and carefully put the loose paper into the notebook. “Uh, yeah, just…writing stuff that comes to mind.” He scratched the back of his head. “Nothing too special.”
How strangely modest of him. “I’d like to hear it sometime. Your music,” she told him with a smile.

"That hurt. Like really hurt." Chai was looking down at his leg in disbelief.
"Are you okay?" Peppermint asked again, now seriously worried once more.
“Ow, ow… It’s fine, I’ll just walk it off,” Chai managed to say, voice strained with pain. A moment later, there was another crash as Chai fell right back into the pile of debris. “Okay, you know what, nevermind… I think I’m just gonna… lie down.”
Peppermint narrowed her eyes, sending off a command to 808 to give her a reading on Chai’s vitals and see what’s wrong. His heart seemed fine, though his stress levels seemed quite high. It wasn’t until Peppermint saw the scans for his leg did she finally understand what was wrong.
“Your leg’s… broken, Chai,” she said, unable to believe what she was saying.
