Summary
Sienna Ruiz is in a rut. A nominally secure and successful sports reporter at 28, her deep dissatisfaction with her life and inability to let down years of protective walls that have left her instinctively dismissing everyone she encounters are problems that she must solve, and quickly—even if that means taking the quick and dirty out of applying for Big Brother, a competitive reality show that will pit her against fifteen zany and unstable strangers in a contest of strategic and social maneuvering against not just her opponents, but the show’s producers.
Except it’s not fifteen strangers. It’s fourteen strangers and HER.
Cast on the same season thanks to a lack of thorough background checks, Sienna comes face to face with Drew Pendras—the tall, blonde uber-athlete and mean girl who seemed to take it upon herself to make high school hell for Sienna a decade ago. Everything Sienna is today, she feels, every maladaptive coping mechanism and antisocial quirk, is because of Drew.
Drew doesn’t seem to have changed one bit. But Sienna’s eight years, two hundred lost pounds and a new gender into life…and Drew doesn’t have a chance in hell of recognizing her.
