Heaven and Hell

Summary:

A collection of quick glimpses of the shenanigans in Celina and Dante’s lives. A perfect balance between heaven and hell.

Notes:

These were originally exclusive on Tumblr, but I decided to post them here cause why not?

Chapter 1: Netflix Series

Chapter Text

Celina and Dante are watching the Netflix series in the living room, specifically the airplane scene where Dante is fighting Angi and Rudra (episode 4).

Celina: casually sips on her glass of water, “You’re getting your ass kicked by these demons. Not very stylish of you.”

Dante: “What the hell is this?! How dare they turn me into a punching bag!”

Celina: “Mmm, more like a laughing stock.”

Dante: stands up and marches to his desk to grab his phone, “Celina! Get me the number! We gotta do something about this cause this ain’t right.”

Celina: “Why do you think I would have their number? Do I look like a phonebook to you???”

Dante: clicks his tongue, “Still gotta do something about this.”

Chapter 2: Netflix Series (2)

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Celina and Dante are watching the Netflix series in the living room, specifically the scene where the group of mercenaries is infiltrating Dante’s place (episode 2).

Dante: slaps his knee and leans forward on it, “Hell yeah! Now we’re talking! About time too!”

Celina: frowns at the TV screen, “I’m more concerned about the damage costs of the place.”

Dante: “Aww, aren’t you more impressed by my skills, babe???”

Celina: “Yeah… but if a group of mercenaries barges in and wreck my house, I’ll be pissed.”

The show continues until Dante makes a "your mom" joke as his wound heals on screen.

Celina: glances at Dante in mild disbelief, “Did you just…?”

Dante: “...”

Celina: “...”

The show then ends with Lady capturing Dante in the truck after tasering him with an anti-demon taser.

Celina: “Damn, Lady played you like a fiddle.”

Dante: scoffs, “A taser, really? Not even Trish’s lightning could have taken me down like that.”

Celina: smirks devilishly, “Should I tell Trish that next time I see her?”

Dante: “...please don’t.”

Notes:

If any of you have specific requests, feel free to drop them in the comments below. It can be anything, a Netflix reaction or not.

Chapter 3: Electric Touch

Notes:

This takes place after the Netflix Series (2).

Chapter Text

The following day, Celina and Trish are meeting in a local cafe for a friendly chat and get-together.

Celina: takes a sip of her vanilla chai, “Oh, by the way, I heard from Dante that your lightning is no match for him.”

Trish: raises an eyebrow, “Oh, really? He said that?”

Celina: nods, “Yeah, he said that not even you could take him down.”

Trish: “Hmm, in that case…” gathers her bag and latte to leave before standing up with a smirk, ”I best be going then. Bye, Celina!”

Celina: “???”

Later on, Trish enters the Devil May Cry shop and finds Dante lounging by his desk. Sauntering over, she sits on the edge of the desk.

Dante: slides his feet down from the desk and eyes her curiously, “Hey, Trish, what’s up?”

Trish: flips her hair over her shoulder, “I heard from a little birdie that I’m losing my electric touch. Know anything about that?”

Dante: “...nope. Besides,” grins warily, “we both know that my old bone does not do well with electricity.”

Trish: grins devilishly and stands up, “Is that so?” snaps her fingers, producing a small spark, “Cause I heard that electrotherapy is quite therapeutic.”

Dante:

Notes:

As a wise man once said in DMC 5—"Forgot how scary you are when you're mad... Sheesh."

Chapter 4: Home Sweet Home

Notes:

This takes place a couple of years after Devil May Cry 5, where Celina is a stay-at-home mom, except working part-time on the weekends, until the kids are old enough to go to school. She raises their kids at her mother's house due to her home city being safe from demons. Although they have a portal to travel between both places, so it's the best of both worlds.

Also, Damien and Seraphina are fraternal twins, but they both inherited their father's white hair and their mother's curly hair, and violet eyes. Fun fact, Celina's mother is a fraternal twin herself, and Celina got lucky with the lottery ticket lol

Chapter Text

Celina is watching over the two-year-old twins, Damien and Seraphina, in the backyard, where they run around and play in the sandbox. Dante returns home from a week-long mission and enters the backyard.

Celina: spots Dante and points at him, “Damien. Sera. Look who’s here—Daddy!”

Damien and Seraphina: look at their father before running up to him, giggling, “Daddy! Daddy!”

Dante: squats down and opens his arms out to hug both of them, ruffling their hair, “Haha! There’s my little rascals! Hope you two behaved while I was away.”

Celina: smiles and walks up to him, “When do they ever behave?”

Damien and Seraphina: giggles and squirms out of Dante’s grasp before zooming around the backyard again.

Dante: chuckles and stands up to hug Celina, “Fair point, but you gotta give them some credit.”

Celina: hugs him back, “How was the job? I take it that it went well?”

Dante: “Yeah, it was nothing much, but man—it's good to be back home,” then kisses Celina on the lips.

Damien and Seraphina: run back to their parents, whining and trying to wedge themselves between Celina and Dante’s legs to pull them apart, causing both parents to laugh.

Dante: fakes a pout as he picks up the now giggling Seraphina, “What? I can’t show some love to your mother?”

Celina: giggles, “I guess not. Not without them involved.”

Damien: tugs on his father’s pants, “Play, Daddy!”

Celina: “Looks like you've got your work cut out for you already.”

Dante: places Seraphina down, “Hah, I still have a lot of energy left in me. Now, come here! I’m gonna catch you!” chases after the laughing twins in the backyard.

Chapter 5: Comfortable Desk

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Dante is washing the dishes in the kitchen after dinner—a habit forced upon him by Celina after she cooks. Meanwhile, Celina walks into the front area and sits by his desk.

Celina: props her legs up on his desk, “How can you sleep in this chair?”

Dante: calls out from the kitchen, “Oh, it takes years of practice to master the arts. Just gotta find the right angle and posture.”

Celina: scoffs and shifts in her seat, “Yeah, right…”

A few minutes later, Dante walks into the front area and finds Celina out like a light on his chair, arms crossed and snoring.

Dante: smirks, “Well, would you look at that.”

Thirty minutes later, Celina stirs awake from her nap, yawning and stretching her arms over her head. Dante watches her from the nearby couch.

Dante: sets aside the magazine he was reading, “Morning, sleeping beauty. Slept well?”

Celina: grumbles while rubbing her eyes, “I was just resting my eyes.”

Dante: grins widely, “Hmm, really? Must be a pretty damn good rest cause you were snoring.”

Celina: stands up from the chair and huffs at him, “Hmph, the only person who snores here is you.”

Notes:

Celina, basically.
